We live in a world of single points of failure. If you don't come home tonight, who feeds them?

KIN is a decentralized "mutual aid" platform for pet owners. It solves the "Solo Owner's Anxiety"—the terrifying fear that an accident, a sudden hospitalization, or a travel delay will leave your animals trapped and alone. We are building a verified, hyper-local network of neighbors who act as "Emergency Proxies." It isn't a dog-walking gig app; it is a digital insurance policy for your pet's survival. When the primary owner's "Check-In" signal fails, the Kin Network is activated, ensuring no animal is ever left forgotten behind a locked door.
The Story: "The Silent Wait"

Every pet owner knows the feeling. You are stuck on a train that isn't moving. You are in a hospital waiting room. The clock is ticking past 6:00 PM.
You know that right now, behind your front door, there are eyes watching the handle. There is a bowl that is empty. There is a creature that depends entirely on you for its existence.
For people who live alone—or for people like me, with five cats and two dogs—this isn't just a worry. It is a haunting.
We have built a society where we are increasingly isolated. We don't know our neighbors. We don't share keys. We have removed the "village" that used to catch us when we fell.
KIN rebuilds the village.
It works on a simple "Dead Man's Switch" protocol (a concept from engineering):
1. The Heartbeat: You set a daily check-in time.
2. The Alert: If you miss it, KIN tries to contact you.
3. The Activation: If you don't respond, KIN unlocks a secure, encrypted "Access Packet" (digital smart-lock codes or lockbox location) for your verified "Kin Neighbor"—a person you have met, vetted, and trusted.
4. The Rescue: Your neighbor gets the alert: "Dave hasn't checked in. Please check on the dogs."

We are fundraising to build the Trust Architecture —the verification system, the legal framework, and the secure technology—that allows strangers to become saviors.
We are building this because while you might be able to call for help, they can't.
