A Feliz Navidad: A Family’s Journey to Reconnection is more than a Christmas film.
It is a story about fathers and sons, dreams and expectations, forgiveness, culture, and ultimately finding our way back to the people who matter most.
At the heart of the story is Victor Cortez, a successful author and motivational speaker who hasn't spoken to his father, Don Pablo, in two years.
Their relationship was fractured when Victor chose to pursue his dreams rather than the life his father believed he should live. Determined to prove that he could succeed on his own terms, Victor built the life he wanted—but the distance between father and son remained.
Now, reluctantly returning home for Christmas with his wife, Sofia, and their son, Julio, Victor is forced to confront the pain he left behind.
But there is another truth waiting for him.
Without realizing it, Victor has begun repeating some of the same mistakes with his own son.
The very expectations that once pushed Victor away from his father are now creating distance between Victor and Julio.
What begins as an uncomfortable return home becomes a journey across three generations—one that challenges fathers and sons to confront their differences, forgive the past, and rediscover what is truly important:
Unity. Love. Family.

A Feliz Navidad was created from a desire to tell an authentic Latino family story while exploring emotions that reach far beyond any one culture.
Our traditions, food, music, language, family gatherings, and Christmas celebrations give this film its cultural identity.
But its heart is universal.

Many parents know what it feels like to want something better for their children—even when that love is expressed in ways that unintentionally create distance.
And many families know what happens when pride, disappointment, misunderstandings, and years of unresolved hurt stand between people who still love one another.
This film asks a simple but powerful question:
How much time are we willing to lose before we choose forgiveness?
We believe audiences need stories that remind us that reconciliation is possible.
Sometimes coming home means more than returning to a place.
Sometimes it means returning to one another.
From an Idea to the Festival Screen
The journey of A Feliz Navidad has already begun.
We took the first major step by producing A Feliz Navidad as a short film—a proof of concept that allowed us to demonstrate the heart, tone, characters, cultural authenticity, and potential of the larger story.
That short film has now reached another important milestone:
A Feliz Navidad has been selected as an Official Selection of the Dallas Latino Film Festival.
For an independent film, moments like this mean more than recognition.
They tell us that this story is beginning to connect with audiences and that the journey is moving forward.
But the short film was never meant to be the final destination.
It was the beginning.
Our vision has always been to expand A Feliz Navidad into a full-length feature film and bring this family, this world, and this message to audiences on a much larger scale.
Our Goal: $2.8 Million
Our goal is to raise $2.8 million to bring the feature-length version of A Feliz Navidad to life.
It's an ambitious goal because producing an independent feature film at this level requires far more than what audiences ultimately see on screen.
Funding will help support the many elements required to take the film from script to screen, including:
Cast and crew. Production equipment. Locations. Production design. Wardrobe. Transportation. Insurance. Music. Editing. Sound. Color finishing. Post-production. Marketing. Distribution preparation.
And most importantly, the talented professionals who will help us tell this story with the quality and cultural authenticity it deserves.
