The Neptune Promise is inspired by the absence of Mexican American women represented in law enforcement, and in cinema. We want to empower and inspire all women to strive for what they believe in and follow their dreams. The story portrays two sister police officers, Lisa and Yesenia as they navigate through a male dominated field. The sisters have sworn to protect each other and the family from any and ALL chaos. Although the film has a dramatic, action feel to it, we want to convey that through pain, love and forgiveness only strengthens the family bond. The funds for this film will go towards paying ALL cast/crew members, locations, visual design, sound, props, wardrobe, promotion and lastly craft services…Guys and Girls Gotta eat!!!
We want our film set to be a fun professional experience. The goal is to submit to film festivals and have screenings to uplift and empower not only the young men and women in the hispanic communities but ALL ethnicities striving to better themselves through hard work, dedication, focus and discipline.
The end goal is to eventually turn this concept into a series or feature film that tells a more detailed story of family, love, and fellowship.
