Two estranged sisters, an uptight lawyer and a
directionless bartender, are brought back into contact when they are
diagnosed with breast cancer at the same time. As they go through
treatment together, they are forced to face the other problems in
their lives that they’ve been willfully ignoring all along.

LUMPS
is about sisterhood, not just the good things but its messy totality.
Your sister can be both your greatest cheerleader and your arch rival
all at the same time. No one knows you like your sister, but do they
really understand you? LUMPS is a story about accepting the people in
your life for who they are and allowing yourself to let go of the
things that no longer serve you.

The goal of the short film is to display the family dynamics and set up the premise while leaving the audience wanting more. Our plan is to not only submit the short to film festivals, but to also use it as a proof of concept while pitching the full-length feature script. LUMPS will film in Chicago starting November 7th.

With a generous equipment grant from PBS SoCal and support from our local community, your contribution will primarily go towards paying the artists that are working to bring LUMPS to life. Also, make sure to follow @lumps_film on Instagram for updates!
