The Spark: Exploring New Cinema

As a DGA director and screenwriter with over 270 film festival nods, my career has been defined by the stories I've told. Today, filmmaking is evolving, and I hope to explore the  "New Cinema." I'm creating this project, based on a script I wrote, to show that AI technology doesn't replace the artist, By using AI as a tool in visualization,  independent filmmakers can achieve cinematic reality without losing their creativity and voice.  My goal as a director/writer, is to bring my award-winning script to life exactly as it was envisioned,.utilizing modern independent filmmaking.

The Project & The Rewards

Where The Sun Don't Shine is a Florida Neo-Noir thriller filled with tension and betrayal, . The story follows hitman Mark Baker, who is hired by Phil Wilson to murder his estranged wife, Rita, for her inheritance. But the hit goes awry when Mark finds himself falling for the woman he was sent to kill. When Mark confronts his employer, it sets off a chain of events leading to revenge and an unlikely  partnership with a hooker named Ashley.

Why Crowdfunding?

Traditional studio models often demand creative compromises which can lead to taking away the artistic voice. I am turning to crowdfunding because Where The Sun Don't Shine could use your help in achieving my goal  Every dollar raised on Crowdfundr will go directly into the project. It will be needed for production, and post production to complete it.  An additional Crowdfundr will come later to help sell and market the film.
