I Got A Knife is an upcoming tabletop
role-playing game from Meldar16, using our unique version of the
DIE versus DIE game system. Your character is tasked to
solve a dastardly crime using your wits and brawn. Can you dig
through the grimy city's underbelly to find the killer?
In a filthy thoroughfare, you find the finish
of a felony most foul. As a greying detective, grizzled private
eye, grumbling reporter, grouchy rookie cop, grumpy criminal, or
grieving citizen, you have the guts and gumption to go for broke
and get wise to the guilty gangster.
Use your massive brains and brawny muscle to bring the murderer to bear. This deadly dilemma will drag you through the dirt, but that dogged determination drives you to discover the details of the dastardly deed.
I Got A Knife uses a tweaked version of the DIE versus DIE game system. Your character's current energy and ability is reflected by which dice you roll in your skills set. Brains and muscles get their own modifiers. Even when you're at your weakest, your drive to find the murderer grows the closer you are to solving the case with a bonus Sleuth die.
The zine also includes the custom campaign
setting of Cutterton. Locations, maps, townsfolk, and the
criminals who hide amongst them. This is enough material to play
over and over, or use elements for your own home-brewed game.

There will be 3 different versions of this
released. We'll have a pdf for the tech-savvy, a full color zine for
those who like paper, and a limited edition that uses real x-ray
films for the cover. These prices are at a discount, and the cost of
the final products will go up after the campaign, so act now!
| These covers are hand-painted with gold acrylic paint, and are actual used x-ray film. You'll still have the regular cover in there as part of it. Grab these quickly! We only have so many x-rays that we can use!

Risks? Goals?
We're planning on minimal risk in backing this project. We'll use Crowdfundr's updates as we wrap it up, but most of the zine is written, illustrated, and laid out as of this initial listing. There's no delay from the printers, because Meldar16 prints in-house. Like our past crowdfunding projects, we expect to fulfill orders as soon as the campaign ends. We have the crowdfunding goals to add some extra doohickeys. If we hit the $500 goal, we'll also print standalone character sheets and maps to include for every backer no matter what level. If the special edition sells out, we might expand that to a 2nd printing using silver acrylic ink. The only delay in that might be procuring more used x-rays, but we'll jump that hurdle if & when that happens.
Meldar16 is married duo Melanie C. Green and Sean Moran. Our powers combined make some nifty ttrpg games and supplements. We use a combination of handmade art, Corel Painter software for illustrations, and Affinity Publisher software for layout. A.I. can go kick rocks.
