About Me & The Dark World: Edge of Eternity

Hello! I’m Siniša Mikolić, the solo developer, writer, and composer behind The Dark World: Edge of Eternity. As a lifelong fan of myth, horror, and atmospheric storytelling, I’ve built this gothic RPG from the ground up-creating every character, quest, environment, and piece of music in-house.

I also authored the narrative‑driven in‑game book, Book of Blood, which players can read-or listen to-during their journey. It unfolds critical lore and mythic layers in a deeply immersive way.

 

What I’m Building

• A dark, atmospheric RPG set in a twisted, modern version of Panonia.

• Four playable factions: vampires (Dravenn), werewolves (Lykar), witches (Veyra), and humans (Mortan), each with interwoven storylines.

Why Book of Blood Is Narrative‑Driven

In game design, “narrative-driven” means that story and writing are integral to the gameplay systems-not just background text. Through the Book of Blood, players discover secret history, character motivations, and mythic context in a way that feels embedded in the world rather than separate. This bridges the traditional gap between lore and in-game narrative, making Book of Blood both optional reading and essential storytelling.

 

Inspiration & Artistry

This project draws from media like Bloodborne, The Witcher, and classic Gothic literature, combined with Eastern European folklore and modern horror. I’ve composed an original score with character-driven themes, chants, ambient motifs, and orchestral crescendos-each track reflecting internal emotional arcs and narrative weight.

Why Crowdfundr: Goals Ahead

I’ve delivered a functioning alpha so far, but full realization requires:

• Additional voice actors (female choir, regional accents)

• Final art pass and animations for major locations and cinematic sequences

• Infrastructure for multiplayer/faction interactions

• Publishing the full Book of Blood as a standalone novel or ebook

• Completing and releasing the remaining six soundtrack tracks on Spotify, Steam, etc.

• Professional marketing to reach audiences who seek story-rich horror games
