Well, it all started when I came up with the idea to make my dads karaoke cave(his 1965 Air Stream trailer) into a commercial kitchen. It only took about 10 years to talk him into the idea but then one day he just said “okay🤷🏻♂️“. In shock at first… I, who had started my little salsa business 6 years prior with just a cooler and my legs, then to a bustling stand at all the local farmers markets, would soon have what everyone in my shoes dreams of! A little space of my own to move about and create as I pleased. I pulled together my funds and bought new wheels and tires for the trailer. It hadn’t moved since my dad brought it there, hence the “karaoke cave”. I have beautiful memories of him, his friends and I all singing Elvis, Roy Orbison, Dolly, Hank Williams, The Maverick’s. I will never forget those good times! Special thanks to my Paps😘 So I trailered it 7 hours back to my place and stared at it for about a week. My boyfriend, who had no idea how serious I was about this plan, found out shortly when he came home to a pile of the whole inside in our driveway. Which I had personally pulled out. I scrounged up any extra work I could find and pulled all my extra money together for the next year to pay for the project. I have payed everything out of pocket and still do so. I have no debt on my business so far this way. Not much working capital but I am proud to say that it pays the bills. And I know that with a little more investment, there are great things just around the corner… because I am willing to do the work! I have relocated to the high desert so I thought the name “The Tin Can” was highly appropriate:)) I am asking for $7000.00. It’s a little more then I need ( hoping to have a a bit more of that working capitol as well) so anything, regardless how small is very much appreciated. I want to invest in more equipment, signage, promoting in my new location and keeping up with permits and licenses. So I am asking the wide universe for a hand. I have never done this before but I have come to the realization that I have nothing to loose!! Still not sure what I can compensate contributors, other then a full belly when you come out to Northern Nevada… that’s a given! I’ll make a plaque in my trailer and add all your names to it! I can send a framed pic back of us by the Tin Can if you can make it out this way!! If not just me by it.:)) So thankful for the time you took to hear my story. It’s all true and I left out a lot.
