HELP A COMPLETED BOOK REACH NEW READERS
What do the things we hold possible—or impossible—change about the way we live?
Let There Be Light by Tiago Souza is a completed English-language work of spiritual philosophy exploring faith, identity, fear, conviction and inner transformation. It invites readers to examine how beliefs, language and expectations influence perception, choices and action. It offers reflection, not a promise of instant results, guaranteed wealth or control over every event in life.
THE BOOK IS READY. THE NEXT STEP IS REACH.
The English digital edition already exists. This campaign is not paying for an unfinished manuscript or an unmade translation. It supports independent digital distribution, reader outreach and the author's work as the book reaches an English-speaking audience.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
Choose the US$5 digital-reader reward for the complete English ebook in PDF, in light and dark reading editions, plus the companion Diagrams and Glossary PDFs. These are digital files only; there is no printed book or shipping charge. The US$10 supporter option includes the same digital package and an additional voluntary contribution to the project—not extra or exclusive content.
The digital package will be provided regardless of whether the campaign reaches its goal. Delivery instructions and timing are stated in each reward. An existing ebook edition is also sold outside this campaign; this is a way to read the book while supporting its independent reach.
A MODEST FIRST GOAL: US$500
We are starting with an achievable goal over 30 days. Proceeds, after platform and payment-processing charges, support digital outreach, distribution and author compensation. This is a commercial creative project, not a charitable donation or an investment, and no financial return is offered. Reaching the goal does not guarantee a particular number of readers or sales.
WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
A finished book still needs to find its readers. Your contribution helps an independent author put a thoughtful English edition in front of people interested in faith, spiritual philosophy, identity and personal reflection. Reading the book and sharing the campaign with someone who may value it are both meaningful ways to help.

CHAPTER 3 - CENTRAL THESIS
The Central Thesis
What a person holds as possible or impossible does not determine all reality, but it profoundly influences their way of perceiving, interpreting, choosing, acting, resisting, persevering and consolidating.
The possible does not just live as an abstract idea. It organizes attention, courage, language, expectation, risk and action. The impossible also organizes: it closes paths before they are even taken, reduces attempts, weakens inner support and transforms perceived limits into apparently definitive borders.
This is one of the central concepts of this book: what you consider possible or impossible participates in the structure of possibilities of your own existence.
Internal convictions open and close possibilities in the concrete field of life.
A possibility that does not find an internal correspondence can hardly manifest itself in a stable way. It may even come closer, appear for a moment or touch the surface of the experience, but it does not find enough support to remain.
Likewise, an internally sustained impossibility acts as a structural interdiction. It not only weakens the will; it restricts the field of manifestation, closes paths, neutralizes opportunities and prevents certain results from finding a way to consolidate.
Therefore, changing the lived reality does not start just by wanting new results. It begins by altering the internal range of possibilities and impossibilities that the person himself holds as true.
What is inside does not remain isolated inside. It participates in the opening or closing of the paths through which reality can manifest itself.
This does not mean a simplistic metaphysics according to which everything happens because someone believed or stops happening because they lacked faith. The reality is more complex: biological, psychological, social, historical, circumstantial and spiritual factors interact continuously.
What this book states is more specific: there is a deep relationship between inner reality and outer reality. Not everything that happens outside is born within us, but what exists within us significantly influences what we are capable of perceiving, sustaining, building, attracting, rejecting and manifesting.
Every person has limits: not only physical or circumstantial, but also internal. Limits of the possible, the conceivable, of what you can imagine, sustain, cross and consolidate.
These limits act as invisible boundaries of experience. Most people never question them; it just lives inside them and calls them reality, personality, destiny, luck, bad luck or circumstance.
The Relationship Example
To illustrate this idea, I propose a reflection exercise from a structural perspective.
Suppose a person wants to build a stable relationship, but is unable to do so.
From a Psychological Perspective
To sustain a lasting relationship, certain internal structures tend to favor its construction:
Positive view of relationships as a legitimate possibility for human fulfillment.
Positive view of the archetypal figure of the other, male or female.
Confidence that fidelity, commitment and loyalty are possible.
Capacity for dialogue, reconciliation and maturity in the face of mistakes.
However, the individual may hold opposing beliefs:
Relationships are a delay in life.
No one is trustworthy.
Men and women are primarily seen as a threat, exploitation or deception.
Constant distrust and permanent expectation of betrayal.
Demand for perfection incompatible with human nature.
In this scenario, a structural tension arises: the person wants a result that their own convictions make it difficult to sustain.
From the Behavioral Perspective
Beliefs tend to be expressed through attitudes. Not always consciously, but often observably.
The person wants to find someone exceptional, but is not willing to offer the same level of commitment, emotional discipline, renunciation or surrender that they expect to receive.
Seeks reciprocity without offering reciprocity; desires trust without trusting; wants to be welcomed without welcoming.
A structural asymmetry is then formed: the individual searches for a reality for which they have not yet become adequate support.
This does not mean moral guilt. It means incompatibility between what you want and what you are capable of sustaining at the present moment.
Everyone wants the best spouse possible, but few strive to become the best spouse possible.
From a Structural Perspective
Internal structures do not remain confined to the subjective world. They shape language, posture, choices, presence, priorities, interpretations and relationship patterns.
Often, without realizing it, the person transmits to the environment exactly the structure that lives within them. Not because there is an explicit rational reading on the part of others, but because behaviors, expressions, decisions and attitudes carry invisible contents that end up becoming perceptible.
Thus, individuals compatible with the desired structure may move away, while individuals compatible with the existing structure tend to move closer.
This helps explain why certain destructive patterns repeat themselves even when a person wants something healthy.
The person seeks what is healthy, but internally supports a structure that does not yet support what is healthy. Then, without realizing it, you communicate to the outside what your internal structure recognizes as bearable: the old, destructive, known and repeated pattern.
From a Metaphysical Perspective
This is where the reflection deepens.
If reality has a deeper structural dimension than matter, then thoughts, beliefs, values, symbols, emotions and convictions are not just isolated psychological phenomena.
They are internal realities with ontological existence. They do not exist as physical objects, but they exist as structuring elements of reality.
These internal realities participate in the metaphysical equation that opens or closes paths, strengthens or weakens possibilities, allows or prevents manifestations.
In matter, a wall can prevent a body from passing through. In the inner structure, a conviction can open a possibility, a sustained impossibility can close it, a fear can block a manifestation, and a faith can reorganize the field around that which it holds.
Likewise, a deeply held truth can open the way to a reality that previously did not find access to the field of experience.
Therefore, thoughts, emotions, symbols, values and convictions are not mere subjective abstractions. They are structuring elements of being and act as real variables in the relationship between interiority, possibility and manifestation.
These elements participate in the metaphysical equation of life. They influence what can be perceived, accessed, sustained, attracted, rejected, consolidated or dissolved.
Therefore, what lives inside a person is no less real just because it cannot be touched with one's hands. The invisible also structures the visible.
From this perspective, what a person repeatedly holds within themselves participates in the configuration of their existential field. It does not create reality in an absolute way, but it influences the possibilities that manage to find support to manifest themselves.
A conviction is not just an opinion. It is a structure.
Structures tend to generate consequences that are compatible with themselves.
When an internal structure conflicts with what you want to manifest, resistance arises. When there is alignment between conviction, value, emotion, intention and action, coherence emerges.
It is in this coherence that one of the keys to manifestation lies. Not because the mind imposes its will on the universe, but because the being becomes compatible with what it seeks to sustain in reality.
Figuratively speaking, this coherence creates a bridge between the possibility in the external world and the content of the internal world. Without the bridge, there is no demonstration. It is worth mentioning that this bridge can be created by other people or events.
I am asserting that the "metaphysical path" needs to be literally created, like a bridge that connects one side to another.
Conviction consistent with desire is the creation of the bridge; incoherent conviction is your destruction.
From this perspective, the possible and the impossible are not just intellectual concepts. They are structuring forces that participate in the construction of the horizon within which life moves.
Desire is not enough
There are people who sincerely want to change and continue repeating the same cycles.
There are people who want peace, but maintain internal war.
The book does not begin by saying: wish better or more intensely. It starts by saying: watch what you sustain.
Want | Sustains
Security | Fear
Prosperity | Scarcity
Love | Abandonment
Transformation | Impossibility
Freedom | Imprisonment
In many cases, there is no absence of desire. There is structural conflict.
The problem is not always that the individual does not want to. The problem is that different parts of it go in different directions.
When this happens, what this book will call fragmentation and consequent dispersion emerges.
The Mystery of Self-Sabotage
Not every force that inhabits you desires the same fate.
You've already decided to change something and, for a few days, everything seemed aligned. Then the strength disappeared. The clarity is gone. The direction that seemed obvious became confusion again. The old reality returned to occupy the space that seemed to have been abandoned.
This is not always weakness, a curse or bad luck. It is often a conflict between conscious desire and existing and continually sustained structure.
Desiring a reality and sustaining that reality are different things.
Possibility as Potential Structure
What exactly is a possibility?
We usually treat possibility as a mere idea, imagination or hypothesis.
This book will treat it in a deeper way: as a potential reality, not yet manifested, but already organized at some level of the structure of the possible.
Imagine a seed. Inside there is a tree.
Not a manifest tree, but a possible tree: real on another level of reality, as information, direction, potential and form not yet visible.
The tree cannot yet be touched, it does not yet produce shade or fruit. But it's not fantasy either. It exists as an organized possibility.
Manifestation is usually the second moment of something that already operated invisibly as a structured possibility.
Before there was a house, there was an architectural plan.
Before there was a symphony, there was a composition.
Before there was a scientific discovery, there was a hypothesis.
Before there was a civilization, there was an idea.
Before there is a manifest reality, there is a potential structure.
The question then ceases to be:
How to create this?
And it becomes:
How do I become compliant with this?
That question is the heart of this book.
Because it’s one thing to look for a result. Another is to become a structure capable of supporting it.
That which does not find support tends to dissolve.
What finds structure tends to remain.
What remains begins to reorganize identity.
Absolute Conviction and the Convergence of Possibilities
For truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be lifted up and be thrown into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will be done, everything that he says will be done to him. - Jesus Christ
There is, however, an even deeper phenomenon than simple structural compatibility.
When a conviction stops being a hypothesis, hope or preference and starts to occupy the ontological core of the individual, it becomes a gravitational center capable of reorganizing the field of possibilities around it.
While a weak belief only participates in the composition of the lived reality, an absolute conviction acts as an organizing axis.
It starts to influence thoughts, emotions, decisions, interpretations, choices, behaviors, perceptions and expectations, progressively aligning all layers of the being in the same direction.
But the phenomenon is not limited to the inner world.
From a structural perspective, what is held as inevitable truth does not only change whoever holds the conviction. It also modifies the set of possibilities that find compatibility to manifest themselves.
The field of possibilities reorganizes itself around the gravitational center established by the dominant conviction.
Suppose a person holds, not as a distant desire, but as an inevitable truth, the conviction that they will find the love of their life.
At that moment, this possibility ceases to occupy a peripheral position and becomes the organizing center of that contextual field.
In the case of relationships, finding the love of your life no longer competes with: remaining alone, repeating destructive relationships or accepting lukewarm and incompatible bonds.
These competing possibilities lose strength because they belong to the same contextual field and become incompatible with the dominant structure. The energy contained in these competing ideas is released and begins to strengthen the prevailing conviction. Fragmentation decreases.
From then on, a gradual process of convergence begins.
Compatible situations become more accessible.
Choices start to point in the same direction.
Incompatible environments tend to lose strength.
Self-destructive behaviors begin to be confronted.
Relationships, encounters and compatibility begin to reorganize.
If there are internal inconsistencies, convergence itself will put pressure on these inconsistencies to be resolved.
What prevents manifestation will need to be integrated, transformed or abandoned. The process may require profound changes in identity, values, habits, perceptions and behaviors.
It may require emotional maturation, healing of wounds, development of virtues and abandonment of incompatible structures.
Reality then begins to reorganize itself around the dominant direction supported by the ontological center.
It's not about magic. It's not about imagining something and forcing the universe to obey. This is structural gravity.
In the same way that physical masses deform the space around them, absolute convictions deform the field of possibilities compatible with their manifestation.
The deeper, more stable and integrated the conviction, the greater its capacity to attract compatible elements, dissolve incompatible resistances and produce convergence.
Ultimately, when a truth is sustained without division, without contradiction and without internal oscillation, it stops acting merely as a possibility and starts to behave as a structural inevitability.
At this stage, the question is no longer if that will happen. The question becomes just as , when and through which paths reality will achieve the necessary convergence for its consummation.
THE absolute conviction it is the convergence of your entire being towards something!
From Possibility to Inevitability
You need to get rid of fear, doubt and disbelief. Free your mind. - Morpheus - Matrix
There is a fundamental distinction between considering something possible and holding something as inevitable.
While a possibility occupies just one position among many within the potential field of reality, an absolute conviction alters the very organization of that field.
Before conviction, finding the love of your life can be just one of countless competing possibilities: remaining alone, living in failed relationships, building an emotionally sterile life or accepting lukewarm and truthless relationships.
At this stage, none of these possibilities has sufficient predominance to organize the system around it.
However, when a possibility is held with absolute conviction, it ceases to occupy the position of a mere possibility and begins to occupy the gravitational center of the system.
Conviction at the level of no doubt creates opportunity in the physical world.
Having faith, in this sense, is eliminating internal fragmentation and transforming the being into maximum convergence, to the point of sustaining what Christ expressed with the formula: “...and not doubt in your heart” .
From that moment on, the field ceased to operate as a dispersed set of future competitors and began to reorganize itself around a single dominant axis.
If someone holds that it is an inevitable truth that they will find the love of their life, this reality is no longer just one of many available options. It becomes the organizing center of affective possibilities.
Opportunity manifests itself in the physical world, and action consolidates the consummation of reality.
So also faith, by itself, if it is not accompanied by works, is dead. - James 2:17
Conviction is the soul of your desire, action is the body!
Circumstances begin to reorganize themselves.
The choices start to reorganize themselves.
Priorities begin to be reorganized.
Interpretations begin to reorganize themselves.
Behaviors begin to reorganize.
Relationships and compatibility begin to be reorganized.
Even obstacles begin to be absorbed by the convergence process, ceasing to act as definitive impediments and becoming stages in the construction of the final result.
From a structural perspective, faith does not just function as emotional energy or subjective hope. It acts as an ontological concentration mechanism.
It progressively reduces the dispersion of the field, diminishes the strength of competing possibilities, eliminates incompatible futures, strengthens the sustained reality and reorganizes attention, intention, action, interpretation and the existential structure itself around the sustained object.
In other words, faith produces convergent focus.
The more absolute the conviction, the less the influence of competing possibilities. The more stable the conviction is over time, the greater the structural gravity produced by it.
There then comes a point at which the sustained possibility ceases to compete with other possibilities. She starts to absorb them.
The other possibilities become progressively irrelevant, unlikely or structurally incompatible with the new center.
The contextual field of possibilities enters gravitational collapse.
What was once just a potential future becomes the only future capable of sustaining coherence with the dominant structure of the system.
At this stage, the question is no longer whether it is possible. It's also no longer whether that's likely. The question becomes how long it will take for convergence to complete its work.
Absolute faith does not just expand probabilities. It changes the architecture of the field of possibilities.
This faith is not ordinary hope, forced optimism, conceit, or arrogance. It is an inner conviction so deep that the person begins to recognize a certain reality as inevitable, even without knowing all the paths, deadlines or circumstances that will lead to its consummation.
In this state, the person does not just want something to happen. She knows, on a deep level of being, that this will happen. Maybe you don't know when, by what paths or by what means. But you know.
This type of certainty appears frequently in people who have accomplished great things. Many of them, looking back, say they never truly doubted they would get there. Before the external realization, there was already a non-negotiable internal conviction.
This should not be confused with conceit, arrogance, or control fantasies.
Arrogance may outwardly imitate the language of faith, but it does not possess its substance. It asserts without structure, declares without coherence, demands without alignment and confuses inflated desire with sustained truth.
True faith is not inflation of reality. It is deep agreement with a truth that the being recognizes as real even before seeing it manifested.
Arrogance forces. Faith sustains.
Arrogance attempts to bend reality to personal whim. Faith resonates with a deeper structure of reality and remains there until manifestation finds its time.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. - Hebrews 11:1
Integration: From Declared Truth to Lived Truth
Until you become conscious, your subconscious will guide your life and you will call it destiny. - Carl Jung
Integrating means transforming a declared truth into a lived truth.
It is when something stops existing only in words and also begins to exist in thoughts, emotions, choices and actions.
For example: “I deserve to be happy.”
As long as this is just a sentence, it is not yet integrated.
When you believe it, feel it, choose from it, and live by it, integration has happened.
In this process, everything that contradicts this truth loses strength: doubts, contrary beliefs and incompatible behaviors weaken; the old structure dissolves; the new structure is consolidated.
Do not confuse the term here true with desire, personal opinion or idealized vision of reality.
Also don't confuse lived truth with character interpretation, like an actor does. It's not about simulating behavior. It's about embodying a truth until it becomes part of who you are.
Integration Is Not Denial of Reality
It is important to distinguish integration from deliberate denial of reality.
Integrating a truth does not mean pretending that the facts do not exist. It does not mean denying pain, losses, traumas, limits, mistakes, consequences or concrete circumstances.
It also does not mean repeating positive phrases while the internal structure continues to be filled with fear, lies, escape or self-deception.
This is not integration. This is a dissociation between discourse and reality.
Every integration happens within a field of possibility. Faith can sustain that which is not yet possible at the current moment, but which may become possible at some point in the future.
Therefore, faith is not a license to deny reality at all. Doubling your own salary may be a plausible possibility. Believing, without internal division, that you will live a thousand years requires another level of affirmation and cannot be treated as a simple exercise of will.
True integration does not begin with the denial of facts, but with the refusal to treat them as the final authority over being.
A person can recognize that they have been hurt and yet integrate the truth that they were not born to live defined by the wound.
You can recognize that you have failed and still integrate the truth that failure is not your identity.
You can recognize that you have been rejected and still integrate the truth that rejection does not determine your worth.
You can recognize that you have experienced abandonment and yet integrate the truth that abandonment is not destiny.
There is also the opposite error: chronic cynicism.
The cynic believes he is being realistic, but often he has simply turned old wounds into doctrine.
Call hopelessness lucidity.
Call fear prudence.
Call bitterness maturity.
Call disbelief intelligence.
But, in essence, it only granted negative experience the right to define the entire field of the possible.
Just as the denial of reality prevents integration, so does cynicism.
One runs away from the facts. The other kneels before them as if they were absolute.
Integration does none of these things. She looks at reality honestly, but holds a deeper truth than the current state of things.
Integration is allowing a higher truth to reorganize thoughts, emotions, choices and actions without having to falsify the present reality.
Therefore, integration is not lying to yourself. It's stopping living governed by an old lie.
What This Model Doesn't Say
This book does not claim that all pain, trauma, poverty, illness, loss or violence is produced by the interiority of the individual.
Responsibility is not guilt.
Participation is not absolute control.
Faith is not denial of reality.
Manifestation is not magical thinking.
Manifestation, in this model, is the process by which a possibility becomes visible when it finds sufficient structure, support, action, time and conditions to emerge into reality. It is not individual sovereignty over the universe, but coherent participation in a reality composed of multiple levels.
The Nuclear Phrase
There is a phrase that silently runs through this entire work.
Reality progressively tends to converge towards what the being ontologically holds as inevitable.
Every deeply held impossibility has consequences. It reorganizes decisions, expectations, behaviors, perceptions, tolerances and interpretations. Little by little, he begins to reorganize his own experience.
Likewise, every deeply held possibility also produces consequences.
What we consider possible influences the way we recognize opportunities, overcome difficulties, sustain long processes and remain in the face of what has not yet manifested itself.
Even though this book states that interiority participates in the metaphysical configuration of lived reality, it does not claim that it is the only source of manifestation.
Each person holds their own possibilities, impossibilities, convictions and centers of gravity. Therefore, personal metaphysics never operates in isolation. It encounters, crosses and often collides with family, social, historical, spiritual and collective fields.
Manifestation takes place in this encounter between interiority, circumstance, action, time, grace, resistance and shared reality.
What impossibilities do I hold as truths?
What possibilities do I desire but cannot yet inhabit?
What inner convictions do my choices reveal?
The Fundamental Conviction
This book is born from a conviction that precedes any transformation technique.
Reality is intelligible.
She has true : there is order, structure and meaning.
She has Logos : without intelligibility there is no understanding; without understanding there is no knowledge; without knowledge there is no truth; without truth there is no guidance; without guidance there is only dispersion.
If something repeats itself, there is a pattern. If there is a pattern, there is intelligibility. And if there is intelligibility, reality cannot be described as pure absurdity, randomness or absolute absence of meaning, as nihilism claims.
The Question Before All Others
That’s why this book doesn’t start by asking: “How do I manifest what I desire?”
That question would be premature.
Before it there is another: “What is real?”
Because all identity, spirituality, philosophy, culture, science and civilization depend on the answer given to this question.
Before the manifestation there is the possibility. Before possibility there is structure. Before structure there is truth. And the truth is what is .
The Hidden Architecture
There is a structured reality.
Every structure produces identity.
Every identity holds possibilities.
Held possibilities become convictions.
Convictions organize gravity.
Gravities produce convergence or dispersion.
Convergence produces manifestation.
Demonstration reinforces identity.
Truth, Logos, information, identity, possibility and manifestation will not be treated as isolated concepts.
They will be read as aspects of the same architecture: an architecture that has always been before our eyes and that this book aims to illuminate.
