WHY THIS
STORY
There’s an epidemic of marginalization,
an undeniable feeling of being ignored - which strikes women and
accelerates as we grow older. Marginalization also affects LGBTQ
folks, people with disabilities, the un-housed, and many other
communities. This film shines a light — with humor, heart, and hope.
INVISIBLE focuses on a teacher who suddenly loses everything she holds dear on her 50th birthday. Even in crisis, she helps others in need and in the process, gets a new lease on life, falls in love, proving that life after 50 is amazing and anything but invisible!
OUR MISSION
We tell stories to spark change. We focus on social good, the environment and especially stories which uplift elder women, underrepresented communities, and anyone who’s ever felt unseen.
Distinguished British producer/actor/writer Richard Stride has
joined the team as a co-producer and co-writer. We are building the
necessary marketing materials needed to reach deep industry connections.

OUR JOURNEY
Gabriell and Hester met in
2009 at Harvard Square Script Writers, a peer supported writers' group
in the Boston area. We started writing together in 2015. Our script
was "optioned" from 2022 to 2024. We declined to renew and
headed back out to the pitcher's mound. This included reaching out to
actors who'd be right for particular roles, which led to Richard, who
brings vision and passion, and his relationships inside the UK film
industry to move us closer to production.

SYNOPSIS
As
HARRIETT turns 50, her worst birthday ever, her world shifts and
people no longer notice her. Harriett’s husband runs off with a
younger woman, she loses her job, and friends and family suddenly have
no time for her. After a near mental breakdown, she meets LIONEL (58),
a one-legged street musician in a wheelchair, ignored everywhere he
goes. She pursues him to learn the rules of invisibility for people
who feel marginalized.
Harriett hits the streets to test Lionel’s theory: Only see each
other and they’re everywhere.
A deep connection between Harriett
and Lionel is sparked when they help a homeless teenager deliver a
baby on the street. Harriett tracks down Lionel’s lost-in-the-system
prosthetic leg. Standing now on two feet, the attraction between them
is strong. But Harriett's adult son, thinking his mother deserves
better, drives Lionel away.
Harriett forges on, envisioning a way to support the disenfranchised
she sees all around.
Using her divorce settlement, she buys a
fixer-upper to create a community center and thwarts her ex-husband’s
luxury condo development on the same property. She puts homeless men
to work fixing it and helps the teen mother. On her 51st birthday,
Lionel returns and “The Visibility Center” opens. Lionel and Harriett
dance the night away. When the invisible team up, they create a
force that can’t be ignored.
