Mona DIE! DIE! DIE! is rolling into Burning Man 2025, bringing wonder, whimsy and a pinch of chaos! This marks the third magical chapter in the Mona saga, after 2023’s beloved pink Mona Bunny and 2024’s dreamy Mona Mushroom. Stepping onto the wobbly tightrope between destiny and random chance, the 20 ft sculpture of a dice explores the big, mysterious question: what does tomorrow hold?

The story unfolds in the world of Mona, a curious 6-year-old girl with big feelings and even bigger questions. Swept up by the gust of endless possibilities, Mona finds herself being swirled around in a foggy cloud of grown-up worries and uncertainty. The Mona Die invites her into making peace with the unknowable—turning anxiety into art, and pressure into play shared with friends.

Mona DIE! DIE! DIE! is a meditation on death and simultaneously a celebration of life’s sweet impermanence. Through the roll of her giant dice, Mona shows us how today’s tiny choices ripple into tomorrow’s great unknown... but also reminds us that, much like the clatter of a dice roll, life is full of randomness and surprise. No one—not even Mona Die—can predict the future. Thus, instead of resisting the chaos, Mona Die invites us to laugh at it, dance with it, and let it carry us somewhere unexpected.

The adventure culminates in the Mona Funeral March on Friday starting 2 PM at Center Camp, with workshops on impermanence, chaos and the self, leading to a pink jazz funeral procession at 3:30 PM to our art piece, where enchanting projector lights transform the giant die into Mona's fantastical visions. As the grand finale, the giant wooden die will be ceremoniously cast and burned on Friday 7:30 PM, dramatically rolling to determine the future as it yields to its flames—symbolizing our collective surrender to uncertainty and life's impermanence.

Every contribution, no matter the size, directly supports:

1. Procurement of sculpture materials (wood), coatings, tools, and associated transportation costs and rent payments.

2. Purchase costs of generators and fuel.

3. Containerized sea freight charges for lighting equipment, cables, projectors, and other electronic devices.

4. You will also be supporting two child artists (10 and 12 years) old that are part of our arts support camp and want to make an arts sculpture "Phone Cell" for Burning Man. Phone cell will be a mobile jail for everyone, symbolizing how phones imprison us (in particular children). The two children will be carrying their cell through the playa dressed as little rangers to catch people on their phone and imprison them. If they catch someone, a generator will be activated enabling use of WiFi through a Starlink for a few minutes while the person is inside the jail. The phone will become part of the growing art installation and can be picked up at the end of the burn.
