ROXIE is more than a film. It is a story about what happens when trauma becomes your identity—and what can happen when someone finally reminds you that your past does not have to determine your future.

Roxie’s story begins when she is just a child. After witnessing violence inside her home and losing her father, the little girl who once loved playing the violin begins a journey that takes her far away from the dreams she once had. Twenty years later, Roxie is an incredibly talented woman living a life she never imagined for herself, trapped in a dangerous world controlled by Big Bobby.

But underneath the toughness, anger, and survival instincts is a woman who is still carrying the pain of that little girl.

Then she meets Joseph.

Joseph comes from a completely different world. He is a man of faith with his own complicated past, but he believes God has placed Roxie in his life for a reason. What begins as an unlikely encounter becomes a journey of faith, trust, healing, and love.

Joseph sees something in Roxie that she has stopped seeing in herself.

He sees her worth.

He sees her potential.

And most importantly, he believes there is still a way out.

The story takes audiences through Roxie's struggle to break free from the environment that has controlled her, while confronting the trauma that has shaped her understanding of love, trust, and herself. Her relationship with Joseph forces her to confront questions she has spent years avoiding: Can I really change? Can I be loved? Can I trust someone? Can God really have a different plan for my life?

At the heart of the film is also Roxie's relationship with music. As a child, the violin represented innocence, creativity, and a dream that was taken away from her. Later in the story, that violin becomes a symbol of something much bigger—Roxie's ability to reclaim the part of herself she thought was gone forever.
