The Story Behind
The Next Batman
My name is Tamarrice Parker, a Birmingham-born actor, filmmaker, and founder of TPV Studios. Ever since I was young, superhero stories inspired me because they showed that one person could stand up for others, even in the darkest moments. As I grew as a filmmaker, I realized I wanted to tell a story that reflected my own perspective while creating something cinematic enough to open doors for larger opportunities.
The Next Batman is a 22-minute proof-of-concept film inspired by the idea of Jace Fox stepping into the mantle of Batman after Gotham loses faith in its greatest symbol. This story explores more than action. It asks whether Batman should remain a symbol of fear or evolve into a symbol of hope, accountability, and resilience. Through cinematic visuals, practical filmmaking, and emotional storytelling, this project is designed to demonstrate the world, tone, and character potential of a much larger production.
What We’re Creating
This campaign will help bring a high-quality proof-of-concept to life. The production includes professional cinematography, custom costume design, visual effects, practical effects, sound design, original music, and post-production. The completed film will serve as a showcase piece for film festivals, industry professionals, and future development opportunities before eventually reaching audiences online.
