Hey Everyone!
We have an amazing opportunity this year to display our kinetic sculpture array at Burning Man in Black Rock City, Nevada. Since we started building and displaying sculptural art back in 2016, it has been a dream and major aspiration of mine, to not only attend Burning Man, but to display my art at this iconic event. I have never before reached out to my community for anything more than moral support, however, there are some serious logistical, and repair costs associated with displaying art in the middle of the desert. I am reaching out to you, my friends, family and community for some help to make this dream com true.
Currently...
We need to repair, fiberglass, and repaint Kinetic sculptures #3 & #4
We also need to re-make the cogs for sculptures #3 & #4
We will also be re-vamping our bases and adding deck platforms to #3 & #4
....These repairs will allow our sculptures to last for many years of use
Displaying art in the desert requires self sufficient lighting for the night. There is no electric, so we will be purchasing battery powered par lights, and charging with a solar array during the day.
On top of all of these repairs and additions we need to rent a box truck to transport our art and camp supplies to Nevada from New York
All in all, this will cost upwards of $10k. Anything helps, and either way, I appreciate the hell out of all of you! You have been such an uplifting and supportive bunch over the years. To show my appreciation, anyone who donates will receive a personalized gift from myself and the team at PDA
