Help me bring my dream of recording an entire SUMMERGOTH album to life by funding the recording, mixing and mastering of these very special summer bummer anthems at Helm Studios in Vancouver, BC!

What goes into making an album? Let's break it down quick and easy...
What you are paying for:
Recording 12 songs of the electronic pop variety with superstar producer Josh at Helm! Josh is one of the most affordable engineers on the planet, but recording is still expensive and Josh deserves every penny!
Why this is EXCITING:
Josh is fast, cool and good at what he does, he is basically part machine and the roster of amazing artists he has helped to foster is astounding. He did the Summergoth single!
What you are also paying for:
Mixing these songs. (one studio day per song usually)
Why this is EXCITING:
Mixing is when we get real weird, like oh i dunno, pitch shifting every line of the vocal! Mixing takes longer than recording, some people hate it, but I LOVE IT.
Another thing you are paying for:
Mastering the album. (Average 150 bucks a song)
Why is this EXCITING???
What even is mastering? Well, it's like magical expensive auditory glue that ensures these songs sound good on the dancefloor at your friend's wedding and on your headphones as you cry at night.
Still another thing you are paying for:
Distribution (Did you know you have to pay to post stuff on digital streaming services? It's true!)
Why this is EXCITING:
Get it into the earholes of the people, all the people, that is what we want! Distrokid is a digital provider that you pay a yearly membership fee, but i always go for the "legacy edition" which means that if there is a screw up with my credit card, the song doesn't vanish. Worth it, right? That's another 100 bucks a song! Ka-ching!
What else am I paying for?
A limited edition cassette tape of the album.
Why this is EXCITING:
If you make a sizable donation I will ensure you get a copy of the sexy summergoth tape! Why a tape? I always hated CD's and vinyl is toooo pricey! Tapes a retro cool, and just think how cute it will look. Design work by yours truly.
Annnnd! If there is any of the money left over after that, then we get to make a real, professional video!
Why this is EXCITING:
The Summergoth video was made on a borrowed Iphone in 1.5 days, edited using free software, and it was my first time editing a video, imagine how cooool it could be with some practical know-how! The mind just boggles at the possibility! Maybe like, a dolly shot in a warehouse even. How cool would that be?
