Founder’s Background

Refeer Rose was born in  1980  in Brooklyn, specifically in the culturally rich neighborhood of Flatbush. Growing up, Refeer experienced firsthand the multitude of diverse cultures that defined the area. Such diversity instilled a profound sense of community, where differences were celebrated and social bonds were formed through shared interests in  fashion, food, and other uplifting experiences.

The 1980s represented an era of  originality and uniqueness, where to stand out was to embrace one’s identity while honoring the culture around you. Art flourished in Flatbush; murals and graffiti adorned the walls, embodying the vibrancy of community life. Language, as infused with  slang  and  Ebonics, became another medium of expression, showcasing the community's identity and pride. This rich backdrop of cultural expression influences the mission and vision of “It’s Already Mine,” aiming to replicate the communal bonding experienced by me as a child.
