BIG HAIR
PSYCHIC ROBOTS
A PENCHANT FOR SPEED
AND THIS IS ONLY THE FIRST LAP
The Story
In a distant universe, a cataclysmic event known as a Red Shift destroys an unknown amount of stars and planets. A century later, A new future is born in five megacities that orbit a dead world, an altruist society known as Ara.
Enter Kytt, a teenager haunted by this history. Believing she is "destined" to fall prey to the same destructive power unleashed for a second time. Her only escape is to acquire a biomechanical giant called Quasar!
Lovecraftian horror and the “fourth world” aesthetics by the late Jack Kirby plays a huge part of the look of Quasar. And the mysteries that lie awake!
The Story Behind the Story
Quasar is inspired by Gideon's experience helping to raise his youngest sister as a teenager. The impact she made on him and the many young people who may see themselves in the eyes of our new hero! Who must learn to grapple with fear.
Circa 2019, this comic had the unfortunate timing of presenting itself during the height of the pandemic, when most comic shops were being mandated to close down. After things started opening back up, we lost our place in line with notable publisher, Boom Studios. And we're now thrilled to share the first chapter of Quasar with the help of your generous support!
Objectives & Risks
The core reason we've decided to launch through Crowdfundr, is to support the printing of the first chapter of Quasar. In addition, About half of the budget will be delegated among the creative team. Gideon who created Quasar will take no profit. And all other funds will be for the production of rewards and shipping. Which we expect to go out by Spring 2024. If any other residuals remain, we will donate it towards art programs serving Bay Area Youth. The only risk is not meeting our funding goal.

Co-Writer
Jaden Zotigh was born at a pretty young age in Chicago, Illinois. He moved to California when he was 16 and loved it so much, he never left. Around this age as well, he picked up his passion for writing.
He’s the only one who doesn’t quite make art on the team, but he does write a lot! In fact he wrote some of the earlier issues of Quasar for many of the original studios Quasar was set to pitch to.
Jaden continues to write daily for several projects -- until he "fries his brain" and does this thing where he lays down and closes his eyes for about seven hours, and then gets up ready to write some more.
