Hi, I'm Schyler, the owner of Among the Pages.
Among the Pages began as a tiny pop-up bookstore with just a few shelves inside Ink Beautiful the Lounge, the tattoo studio where I work in Denison, Texas. What started as a small opportunity quickly grew into something much bigger than I ever imagined.
I've always loved books, but reading became especially meaningful after the birth of my first child. During the whirlwind of postpartum life, books gave me a quiet place to breathe. I've always dreamed of creating a bookstore. Not just a place that sells books, but a cozy shop tucked into a sleepy downtown where people can slow down, feel welcome, and find stories that stay with them long after they leave.
Now that dream is becoming reality.
Among the Pages is opening a permanent home in downtown Durant, Oklahoma, and I couldn't be more excited to build this space with our community.
Our shop will carry new and used fiction books, with romance at our heart, but stories for every kind of reader. We'll also special order almost any available title so our community can always find the books they're looking for.
But this bookstore is about so much more than books.
I want it to be a place where people feel safe, welcomed, and connected. A place to meet friends, discover new favorite authors, attend book clubs, enjoy craft nights, celebrate book releases, and simply exist in a cozy space that feels like home.
