Who is Wyrd Sanctuary for?

Wyrd Sanctuary is for cat lovers and people who enjoy tarot cards, oracle cards, and card games. It's for those who want to dive into the world of tabletop roleplaying games, but find mountains of rules and math intimidating, It's for gamers of any level that ever wanted to play a magical cat.

How do I play?

CHARACTER CREATION

Design your cat (size, coat pattern, eye color, leg length, fur length, and ear type)
Decide your stats
Choose your role (pest control, security, companion)

GAMEPLAY

First, shuffle the location deck and draw a card to determine where you begin the game.

Then shuffle all of the decks together to make your MegaDeck. MegaDeck is your GM.

Draw the first card.
Engage as appropriate.
Your player may move and/or perform one action in response to the card you've pulled.

An NPC may appear with a quest...
A creature may emerge to do creature things...
Or you may simply receive a complication right away.

You have the option to move and act, and then your turn is over.
If playing solo, you draw another card to continue the story.
If playing with friends, each player in turn gets the opportunity to move and act accordingly.
Once all players have engaged the first draw, the next player takes their turn, drawing a card and engaging as appropriate.

GOAL

Your primary quest is to find your tribe's lost spaceship. Upon finding the ship, the new objective becomes repairing the ship. Once repaired, the goal shifts to populating the ship. Once sufficiently populated, the game is complete as you embark on a new journey for a new planet to call home - an adventure for our next game.

Why Crowdfund?

This is our debut game in a line of numerous planned games, and this campaign will help us establish a solid foundation. Also, we really want to hold a physical copy in our hands, and we want you to have a copy too!

To this end, and because this is our first game and our first crowdfunding venture, we've kept the pledges simple to ensure we can deliver in a timely manner.

About Us

We are the Cosmic Cannacats, Induhcat (Nicole Quinn) and Qushkitti (Sujiyra Cat). We started designing tabletop roleplaying games together shortly after we got engaged in 2021. Suji, however, has been designing TTRPGs since 2014. We're on the path to produce various expansions and sequels, a cinematic universe, if you will.
