It all comes down to the value of beauty in our society and how it can overshadow horror. Waltz for Isabelle is a very interesting story, because it has a deep contrast in its core. On one side we have the horror of the monster, the blood-sucking, the abuse, the violence; and on the other we have the beauty, the beautiful house, the beautiful wife, the beautiful classical music piece, the beautiful feelings of love, the beautiful sacrifice, and so on.

This constant struggle traps the characters in a vicious cycle of suffering, in which they sabotage each other in order to feel alive, pushing them to find the beauty inside all the pain, inside all the darkness. Choosing to be together because they believe that’s what they deserve, and finding ways to cope with their reality.

Inspired by multiple literary themes from renowned authors such as Bram Stoker, Oscar Wilde, and Dostoyevsky; and exploring visual
elements utilized by filmmakers like Werner Herzog, Paul Thomas Anderson, and Andrzej Zulawski; Waltz for Isabelle will be a visual extravaganza that blends gothic imagery, classical music and horror to create an indescribable
experience.

Evoking mixed feelings in the audience, both beautiful and disturbing, being a testament of how when these worlds collide, we are pushed into reevaluating our own beliefs and moral structures.

I am a Mexican filmmaker from Guadalajara, Jalisco, pursuing my dream of becoming a director. From a very young age, I got completely involved with art. Writing short stories and comic books as a kid, making zero-budget movies and sketches with my cousins, and even joining a rock band in my teen years as the lead guitar player. All of my love and passion for art has guided me to where I am today. As a master's degree student at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, I developed well-crafted projects focused on horror and existential dilemmas. Mixing the genre with elements of science fiction, fantasy, romance, and comedy to elevate my films into deeper territories and evoking strong emotions in my audience. I am working on becoming a strong worldwide representative of my country, succeeding in one of the most competitive cities in the world doing what I love the most, telling stories.
