Who We Are

We're a group of independent filmmakers who live in the Florida Keys, and are creating a new original comedy series about our island home! This is the ONLY film series to be funded, produced, and entirely shot on location in the Florida Keys. All other television series are from outside production companies, or those that shoot an occasional scene (or a few) down here. OUR ENTIRE SERIES is filmed here and features LOCAL actors and crew!  You can expect a lot of laughs, a lot of weird, and a high dose of that Florida Keys magic! 

The Pilot Episode of this Florida Keys Film Series PREMIERED at the Key West Film Festival on November 15, 2025! It will also be screened at the Tropic Cinema in Key West this spring with a sneak peek into what we have in store for the rest of the series!

What's the Series About?

• Mile Zeros is a comedy web series about the unique dynamic between the marine patrol officers and the liveaboard boaters of the Florida Keys.
• The series kicks off with Episode 1, "Claw & Order" during lobster mini-season when two unsuspecting tourists honeymooning in the Florida Keys accidentally catch an undersized lobster, and find themselves in the "claws" of marine patrol who are hellbent on racking up "mini-season" undersized lobster arrests.
• In Episode 2, the tourists stay in the Keys while awaiting their court hearings, and in doing so, end up in the Keys affordable housing: out on the liveaboard boat anchorage with all the other "fuck ups." They're directly in the crosshairs of the marine patrol who have marching orders to clear out the "harbor hobos." 

• Additional episodes will be filmed in Key West and the Lower Keys during fall/winter 2025/26.

The goal of the series is to have some fun while showing life in the Florida Keys --- from the locals' perspective. The Florida Keys have always been a hub for struggling artists, and we appreciate your helping keep Key West weird!  

What We Need & What Our Goal is

• We need funds to secure locations, get props, set designs, editing software, camera gear, costumes, hire talent, and all other aspects of film production!
• There's more to the Florida Keys than Jimmy Buffett, Key Lime Pie, and Duval Street. There's a weird and wonderful lifestyle down here, and we want to have a little fun with it. Because we don't take things too seriously down here.
