Title:
Faces of the Undead – A Feature Horror Anthology
Logline:
A historian recounts the events of a necromancer controlled by a Voodoo priestess to do her bidding .
Summary:
“Faces of the Undead” is an anthology style horror with psychological plot twists and turns, a splash of humor, and the disturbing conclusion that death is not the release from turmoil; it’s only the beginning. It’s the 100-year anniversary of the New Orleans Cask & Coffin Club, and Historian Samuel Asher recounts the lore and events of the club’s history regarding Voodoo Priestess Lady Desiré and the Necromancer she created to gather souls. As the tale unfolds, a man finds himself on an unexpected roller coaster triggered by the stories of various individuals who welcome a release through death, tugging at the Necromancers torment between realities, and the psychological turmoil and hopelessness in the struggles with mental health.
“You thought death could release you. You were wrong.”

Where We Are Today:
At this time, we have done eight self-funded shoots of our feature film with a great cast and crew, including Chloe Stewart, Christopher Inlow, Robert Dean, Nancy Anne Ridder, Jessie Gill, Shawn Sokoloski, and many other talented, dedicated people. We are primarily an in house production. This means we write our own original scripts, build our own sets, special effects and props, art and design and editing, as well as composing and recording our title soundtracks. We plan to release our anthology film in story segments with the intention of releasing the full completed film in early 2025. We will keep everyone updated on when and where the first story segment will be released.
With some great unique merch tiers for your support, we have plans to submit Faces of the Undead to various film festivals, have a premier showing, and have it available on disc, digital download, and streaming services. We have received great feedback thus far and are excited to bring forth original and new elements you’ve not seen before in horror.
A Few Words from the Creator:
I’m Ferenc Gregor, the founder of Things Forsaken and producer, actor, artist, and creator of Faces of the Undead. Faces of the Undead originated from our web series, which is a hybrid build and storytelling short film series currently twelve episodes in. In our web series, we reenact original stories as skilled artisans and create the subject artwork while live on film in character. You can check out our web series at: www.youtube.com/thingsforsaken .
I am also a cast member (artisan) on the hit web and TV series Man at Arms: Reforged and Man at Arms: Art of War. When I created my own series during the pandemic, this earned us a Giallo Julians (writer for Dread Central) top ten pick for new horror indie film creators of 2023. This has led us to create our first feature film Faces of the Undead, a film that’s a bit out of the box and a different flavor from standard recurring scenarios and plots that are continually spun for mainstream horror. We hope you join us to be a part of this exciting new production!

Cast/Crew Testimonials:
"Ferenc's film Faces of the Undead is a mirage of classy music with a fun but haunting setting and a great cast. I appreciated his ability to direct and still give the cast room to add our own unique flavors to the characters. While I’ve known Ferenc had experience in the fields of theatre, horror, costumes, and fx, I’ve been blown away by the amount of effort and detail that’s being put into making everything so fantastically real. While filming a shoot, I walked by a girl sitting in a chair and realized shortly after that it was not even a real girl, but rather a prop created by Ferenc resembling one of the actresses.
Up until this point, Ferenc has financed everything on his own. I know this is going to be a wonderfully fun film upon completion. Not only is Ferenc’s imagination original and very focused, but he knows how to tell a story. I’ve seen what he can do on a limited budget, and I know with a larger budget, he will be able to open this world of darkness and introduce us to his brand of supernatural horror. I hope everyone makes a contribution, so he is able to afford to tell this tale the way he envisions it."
- Christopher Inlow (Cyrus Skully)
"The film is so good. Vera (Chloe Stewart) is so luscious, playful, and ultimately tragic. Cyrus Skully (Christopher Inlow) is so funny. The Necromancer is so foreboding. Ferenc’s direction, cinematography, story, tableaus, lighting, and vision are so remarkable and unique."
- Nancy Anne Ridder (Adelaide Skully)
