This project started when we realised our jobs were in an awkward place. Residential cleaners work low skilled but time consuming jobs. What this means in a fragmented market, where most of the labour takes place in the privacy of peoples homes, is that there's a lot of logistical waste across the industry.
Our consumer demographics are unimaginably diverse too. Everyone from high octane professionals, to people with disabilities and older Australians, use our cleaning services. Our clients ultimately make our work fulfilling. Through them, we've learned that cleaning isn't just about hygiene, it's about dignity and resilience - we provide a small relief and recover a bit of time in a world that often feels turbulent and stressful. The gratitude, good will and trust that our clients have given back has driven us to want to solve the industrial problems that have been pushing us out of these jobs.
We believe that if we deploy the right technology, in the right places, with the right people, we can drastically reduce our overheads without compromising on our values.
We've designed a business model which we believe will strike a balance between improving the cleaners WHS, improving the quality of our service and even reducing our pricing where we know it's urgently needed.
So that takes us to our goals!
We want to take all our draft plans and the results we've collected so far, to professionals, so they can help us start putting things together.
Next will come marketing and hiring, both of which are already in a soft launch.
Ultimately, we want to use the profits from our humanism to fund the unpaid work we love, volunteering for non-human animals.
