Meet Sam Hawthorne.
At first glance, he looks like your classic, tough-as-nails private investigator
worn out suit, a face that could intimidate a cement block, and a permanent frown that says,
"I've seen things, kid."

But looks can be deceiving.
Underneath that hard exterior?
A guy who’d rather be chasing a quick payday than criminals.

And yet… somehow… this guy is one of the best detectives in town.

How does he do it?
No one really knows. Not his clients. Not the cops. Not even Sam himself sometimes.
Especially Mia thinks that’s suspicious.

Mia is Sam’s informant.
She knows the ins and outs of the city and is always a good companion…
which is something Sam would never admit.

All in all, when the city’s elite have a problem “ too messy to handle legally”,
Sam’s the guy they call.
Or, as he calls it:

“A semi-legal contractor.”

📚 The Story

In this particular case, Sam’s been called in by The Tribune’s editor. A magazine known to break up celebrity couples and stirring up conspiracies.
He was hired to find her star reporter, who disappeared while working on a story about corrupt officials and a handful of other important people.

There’s conspiracy. Danger.
Too much work to do, and way too many people who look like they’d rather kill him than talk.

And just when he thinks he’s onto something,
The reporter reappears with a wild story about how he faked his own disappearance to uncover something bigger

Is it just another conspiracy? Or is he on to something?.

As they work together, Sam digs deeper into the conspiracy,
and with the information Mia provides him,
he’s about to uncover something big...
