My name is Steve Sides and I’m from Glenpool, Oklahoma. I have written a screenplay called The Bearded Lady.

The inspiration of this love story comes from a couple of songs the band I created with two friends wrote. One was The Bearded Lady written by Lance Bussman and Shadows Five written by me.

It is my ultimate goal to have this turned into a feature film.

The Bearded Lady is the story of teenager, Charlie Strange and carnival freak(Bearded Lady), Claire McConnell meeting after Charlie leaves an abusive home and goes to work for the carnival Claire works and lives. After falling in love and getting married, Charlie and Claire have twin girls. One was born a beautiful normal baby girl and the other born a beautiful baby girl with facial hair, similar to her bearded mother. With this causing angst with Charlie he begins to wonder if he is crazy to have fallen in love with and getting married to The Bearded Lady.

It is my goal to either sell this screenplay to producers who are going to bring Claire’s and Charlie’s story to life or get the funding to allow me to do it with the help of all of you who choose to believe in and support Claire’s and Charlie’s story.

Anybody who chooses to support this love story, in my eyes, are true partners and enthusiasts to believing anybody can fall in love.

The funding being requested is not 100 million. That is a mistake and I can’t figure out how to change it. The funding being requested though is one million.
