I forgive myself is a movement for the people who have given to their limit with grace. Fortified their character to no avail and fought for their sovereignty. It’s an affirmation that is used to bring them back to their hearts and the depth of their soul. I started I forgive myself in the midst of homelessness, I left all situations that enmeshed me with codependency and started over to show myself I could be sufficient in my healings and my belief that when we believe in ourselves and forgive ourselves we can overcome more than if we stay where we are comfortable. I reached my limit with tolerance. I gave my heart in purpose to support everyone close to me. Past partners, friends, family and I realized it was all transactional— it all had an expiration date. And as I sat in a dark basement trying to find meaning it came to me. Forgiveness. While I had spent time and energy forgiving others I didn’t ever think for a minute I need to forgive myself. I was consumed by the need to be validated in my character but never validated myself. So when you wear this you’re wearing the physical armor of self admiration and love.

I forgive myself is a collection of sweats and loungewear that touches on quality and commitment to longevity. These are timeless pieces you will have for decades to come and hopefully reach and touch future generations to come.

I plan to work with a local manufacturer out of Detroit to produce the product. These materials are quality utilizing 100% cotton. We will also use a local printer. Each piece will be crafted by real humans from Detroit.

and finally, this is a project to bring more awareness to self forgiveness and healing. With 10% of proceeds we want to donate back to the community in the hands of mothers who are in need of birth support by the way of doulas as well as support black woman who are facing homelessness in the city of Detroit.
