Safe Hands is an original musical set in 1956 New Jersey that follows five women whose lives intersect through an underground abortion clinic. Over the past several years, this show has grown through the generosity, insight, and belief of so many people—from artists and collaborators to audiences who have joined us for readings and shared in its evolution. Every step has helped shape the musical into the story it is today.

Now, Safe Hands is ready for its next chapter. This fall, the show will receive an industry reading—an important milestone that will introduce the musical to producers, directors, and other theater professionals who can help bring it to a full production.
