67 Brooms Productions hasn't added a story.
A little bit about the company: This production is the Inaugural play of the theatre division of 67 Brooms:stage, film, and media Co. We are a brave company of visual artist and business professionals based in Manhattan. With a minimum of 15 years of professional experience, we seek to bridge the gap between media, entertainment, and community in the modern day. The work must have impact as well as mobility. With the utmost sincerity we thank you for contributing to the opening night of what we hope will be many Plays, movies, tv shows, magazines, and online publications. “Truth is now, motion is everlasting.”
A little bit about the play: We have a problem. Americans are not getting along. In real life, we have a history of not getting along, but right now, things seem to be at a breaking AND boiling point. After many years of plays, performances, and protest , today feels like a dream. Blues for Mister Charlie is quite possibly one of the most explosive pieces of art ever rendered on a page. The subject matter not only haunts those who view it, but the story tends to tear people apart. If we can survive the opening scene, I believe the audience will leave the theatre as a new community. Each actor is tasked with creating a portrait that is pencil, lined, and painted with the actual truth. Words like hate and chaos are often thrown around when describing the work. When I think of the scenes from the play, two words that come to my mind are love, and light. The story of black people and white people in America can never be adequately explained in the modern day. It is even more difficult to down the very narrow dark road of the Jim Crow South. Bombs and ashes are not what make up the South. I am asking you as a community to contribute to a process that will examine the difficulties of navigating survival and faith, in the wake of extreme tragedy and injustice.
