How it all started: I have fond memories of my childhood tiptoeing and dancing with other students at school. However, as time passed, I discovered that dancing was more than just a source of happiness; it held the potential to unlock profound depths within me.
My dream, though personal, resonates with many. As a young child, I wasn't fully aware of my artistic talents due to limited exposure to the vast world of arts. It was only later, after a detour through fitness training and nursery teaching due to circumstances, that my true passion became evident. Teaching English and nurturing young minds while harboring a secret affinity for the arts, I felt a compelling artistic vision slowly taking shape within me.
The birth of "Eternal Dance Giselle" in 2006, inspired by the theme "Eternal" by Nacho Sotomayor, marked the beginning of a mystical connection between movement and meaning. Artists from diverse realms like the circus, athletics, and music fueled my creative fire. This journey has taught me that artists can join forces, despite distance and financial constraints, to bring dreams to life.
The Turning Point: The pandemic marked a profound turning point in my journey. I transitioned away from full-time teaching and immersed myself in Jewish mysticism studies. This introspective period led me to establish my dance studio, working with students of all ages. My performances and videographies offered glimpses into the teachings I cherished, fostering a connection between art and introspection.
Financial challenges, however, remained a persistent obstacle. The effort invested in creating artistic content went unrewarded, and the cost of my studio space weighed heavily. This led me to the decision to embark on this crowdfunding project, driven by a dual purpose: to impact those touched by my art and to secure the financial support needed for my artistic growth.
The Vision and Project: The vision of 'Eternal Dance Giselle' encompasses Performing Arts Education, dance, freediving art, and mysticism. While my ultimate dream is the grand 'The Mountains' project, immediate needs must be met—covering my local's rent, my personal health, and essential freediving training.
Project 1: The Mountains: With "The Mountains," set to the music of the late artist Хацко Алексей (Alexey Khatsko), I seek to elevate his legacy while weaving a narrative that touches the soul. Each scene mirrors a step in personal and collective transformation, from self-purification to profound encounters with the sea's inhabitants. These visual metaphors recall previous lives and shared histories, culminating in a harmonious dance with creatures of the deep.
Scene 1: (First 12 seconds) She is in a dream, an ethereal place like a forest or a castle, on the cusp of slumber.
Scene 2: (16+4 seconds) A transition sees her submerging into the ocean, draped in a flowing dress. This symbolic act, reminiscent of a great Mikve in Kabbalah, signifies the purification of her soul, connecting her with her past lives. Subsequent scenes show her freediving and engaging with sea creatures, fostering a profound connection through dance.
Scene 3: (16 seconds) As she delves deeper into the ocean, memories of past lives resurface. These visions include scenes from history—a Holocaust victim, a wartime car accident, a museum where she's celebrated as an actress, a visit to a vast pool with a playful orca.
Scene 4: Scenes from her past lives intertwine with watery scenes, underscoring her connection with the ocean. Her interactions reflect a soul deeply entwined with its surroundings.
Scene 5 (Chorus): Joyous scenes unfold in both the forest and the sea, where she mingles with other creatures. This chorus of happiness echoes the harmonious relationship she has cultivated.
Scene 6: A mesmerizing choreography brings her and her fellow dancers together, illustrating the unity that art can forge.
Scene 7: Dream sequences offer glimpses into her creative mind, where imagination takes flight.
Scene 8: The final crescendo involves a choreography featuring dolphins or orcas. An AI-assisted dance may even be considered, though a spontaneous interaction in their natural habitat remains an enchanting possibility.
Upon waking, she rushes to her Sidur, seeking secret codes that might unravel the enigma of her vision.
