Hi everyone! My name is Berlin, and I am the writer, director, and producer of a short film called "Summer in Bethany". My friend Kate and I met at a filmmaking summer camp last year, and we instantly clicked personally and creatively. We started a production company called Polkadot Productions, and this short film will be our first project. We are both in college right now, her in Chicago and me in Savannah, but we plan to make short films every summer that we go back home. With this film, we hope to expand our skills and knowledge in filmmaking and hopefully bring some joy and laughter to all those who watch.

Summer in Bethany is a story about a young boy named Michael, who unfortunately has nothing to do on a beautiful summer day. The story takes place in the 80s, and the style clearly reflects that. His best friend, Blaine (named after my dad), surprises him. Together, they spend the day trying to raise money to bribe Michael's sister and her best friend to take them to the public pool.

We're hoping to raise enough money to pay our crew and actors, rent equipment, buy food for production days, apply to film festivals, and pay for props and set dressing.
