This is a project currently titled "To The Bone: In Carnation".
Hello. My name is Nathaniel Styles. I am a filmmaker from the PNW.
First off I would like to thank you for visiting this page.
I do not want to go into too much detail about the plot of the movie, as I think films should be experienced mostly as surprise.
But I would like to describe it in the larger aspects, so you may know what you would be investing in, if you so choose, of course for every donation I am grateful.
The idea of this film, is essentially to share something unique that contains visions of beauty, sometimes put through an odd lens.
To describe it more realistically, it's about a guy who wanders into a small town in the PNW called "Carnation", and meets a group of people. They go on a kayaking and camping trip that is supposed to last 7 days.
It is pulpy, rich, has dramatic and comedic elements, and is at times a mind-bender.
It features nature strongly, not only the nature of the PNW, but the nature of experience and people and the games they play.
Currently the filming would take place in multiple areas in Washington state, including Snohomish, Seattle, Gold Bar, and in various places in the woods in the larger area.
What are some of the reasons you should invest in this project?
- It showcases the beauty of nature in the PNW.
- It promotes healthy activities like camping, kayaking and rafting.
- It will provide opportunities for local creatives to collaborate, recieve compensation and to gain experience on a feature film production.
Most of all, this project is worth investing in because it is a great script which will make a great film.
