The project
At Ponta dos Pés is a social project that takes culture, art and education to young people, children and adults from the communities of Rio de Janeiro.
We
aim to shape and transform lives, showing different paths and
possibilities. The project is led by Tuany Nascimento, a 27-year-old
young dancer who lives in the community of Morro do Adeus / Complex do
Alemão. Today, about 200 ballet, wrestling and theater students are
part of the NPP. For eight years, classes were taught in the community
block of Morro do Adeus, which is an open place, without the proper
apparatus for a class and especially without security. Several times
classes were interrupted due to the constant conflict in the region.
We started and completed the construction of our headquarters / school, a Community Center, free from violence, an adequate space for activities, but also a space for access to culture, education and art.
The dream of having a safe space that breathes art and culture has been achieved, now we want to grow and keep this work alive and we count on your collaboration!
Budget
60% of the amount collected will be used to maintain the
infrastructure and pay staff. And 40% will go towards the purchase of
materials and supplies for the workshops of the Cultural and Sports Center.
With this campaign, we aim to:
- Increase the number of people served;
- Develop the potential of young people in relation to how they
perceive themselves, and relate to others and their vision of the
future;
- Encourage youth leadership;
- Assistance in space expenses, such as cleaning, hygiene etc;
- Strengthen our work team;
