KITCHEN TABLE MAGAZINE hasn't added a story.
The Future is Coming! From the wreckage of late-stage capitalism,
Kitchen Table Magazine reimagines Food and the Future.
KITCHEN TABLE #7: THE FUTURE ISSUE
KITCHEN TABLE #7: THE FUTURE ISSUE is dropping during a truly bizarre time to be alive on planet earth, as we face a wildly unknowable future. Things are so weird out there, we can’t accurately predict next week, let alone ten or twenty years down the road. And yet, here at Kitchen Table, we believe in a brighter future and see the potential for resistance and change that exists within ourselves and our communities.
So in this world where the future is so uncertain, The Future Issue serves up a feast of ideas, stories, and art to help us imagine what’s next. We’ve launched this crowdfunding campaign not just to print one of the most unique food magazines on the stands—but to support authentic, personal storytelling, amplify diverse voices, and keep independent print media alive. Join us in shaping the future—one page, one meal, and one conversation at a time. Back the campaign today!
WE HAVE SOME SERIOUSLY TASTY REWARDS. We’re not asking you to contribute just out of the goodness of your heart (although we’ll gladly accept!), we want to give you something in return for your support. From the latest issue of Kitchen Table Magazine to exclusive back-issue bundles, digital editions, and collectible merch, we’ve got a spread of rewards to satisfy every supporter. Want to show off your love for indie food media? Grab a limited-edition Kitchen Table print or an all-access collection of past issues. Every reward helps bring The Future Issue to life while supporting the talented writers, illustrators, and photographers who make it happen. Choose your rewards and join us in shaping the future!

KITCHEN TABLE IS A CELEBRATION OF FOOD AND COMMUNITY
WE ARE A VOICE FOR INCLUSIVE FOOD CULTURE , sustainability, our relationship with place, and our ability to be present in a world of distraction, digital or otherwise. Through a lens of art and storytelling, we explore what we eat, how we eat, and why we eat. Of what it means to be human. Kitchen Table believes that we evolved in community and celebrates the things that bring us together, which of course means food. In a challenging world that often seems upside down, sometimes all we need to get through the day are friends and a slice to remind us that we're all in this together.

BEHIND THE EMERALD CURTAIN...
BRETT WARNOCK, The Publisher
Brett has had parallel careers throughout his adult life, one as a publisher—the founder and co-publisher with Chris Staros of comics publishing company Top Shelf Productions for almost twenty years—and another in food service, having spent decades working as a bartender, waiter, prep cook, line cook, host, food runner, beer buyer, wine steward, deli clerk... what's missing? (He'd still like to learn the ropes as a cheese-monger.)
Kitchen Table is all he wants to do. He still waits tables and tends bar to pay the bills.

KATRINA CLASEN, The Designer
For those who don't know, a designer is the person who decides what goes where and why. Katrina calls them "all the little details": why not place the page numbers in the middle of the page? Then, when you're thumbing through the mag they're right at your fingertips!
If she isn't cooking up the next issue, you'll find her picking paint colors, or camping in the woods. Kitchen Table has been the wind beneath her wings for almost two years now and it is her honor to work for a company that not only shares her values, but encourages growth as an artist and a person.
