"Relevé Ladies" is a captivating art installation that celebrates the strength of feminine expression and living life unabashedly. What started as sculptural studies for my 2022 installation, “Relevé”, has evolved into a breathtaking series that I and my Relevé Ladies Crew are thrilled to bring to the playa this August.

Drawing inspiration from the swirling dust devils of the playa and the mystical folklore of The Nine Ladies Stone Circle in Derbyshire, England, "Relevé Ladies" embodies a sense of empowerment and freedom. At a time when the rights of women, queer, and transgender communities are under threat, the significance of the ballet term "Relevé" - to rise up - holds more relevance than ever before.

I am incredibly grateful and humbled to have been awarded a 2024 Burning Man Honorarium for this project. However, the grant only covers a portion of the necessary costs for materials and transportation. Currently we are running our Crowndfundr campaign to raise enough funds to pay for the rental of a box truck and fuel in order to get us and the project to the playa. Additional funds raised will help with the purchase of additional materials such as LED controllers, fabric, and steel needed for the kinetic bases.
I am reaching out for your support to help bring this unique and inspiring project to life. Your contribution will not only help cover the remaining expenses, but will also enable me to share this powerful message of feminine, gender identity and LGBTQ+ expression with a wider audience.
