[Beth & Angel] Fulfillment Timeline, 5th-8th prompt, THANK YOU!!!!!

Wow, okay so we made it through that campaign! Two months ago we didn't even know what we were doing. Today we have enough to cover our taxes and I don't need to rush out to get another job! 

We DO have a LOT of zines to make 🤣 But we're excited to do it, and we're just as excited to send them to you. We really hope you like them! 

AN IMPORTANT NOTE: Once we "Finished" the campaign (closed it down, basically) we cannot update the page anymore. I didn't know that lol or I would've edited it first... So everything is going to be untouched from March 4th and information will quickly be out of date. I will be sure to send emails to keep everyone updated. :D

🏃 Progress: 9 zines down, 9 zines behind

I actually haven't worked on a zine since our stream on the 29th, I was so busy marketing the last few days. I'm really glad I did, we basically doubled our earnings in the last week of the campaign! But now I'm behind as heck lol. 

It's okay, we'll get caught up, we're extended all the way through the 24th!

And speaking of which...

The Prompt for the 5th - 8th is...

...a tie lol between "A thing you found at a flea market that is clearly cursed," suggested by Eliza, and "Tiny Treasures of Time" suggested by Cookie. I used a random number generator which came up with "1", so the winner is:

A THING YOU FOUND AT A FLEA MARKET THAT IS CLEARLY CURSED!!!

Both of these are prompts I want to make zines for, but the second I saw "thing you found," "flea market," and "cursed" I REALLY wanted that to win eventually. So I'm VERY excited about this, it's so many of my favorite things in one! 

What About the 9th-12th Prompt?

Well, that's up to anyone who contributed! I'm going to send a form via email to everyone who contributed (I would've done it already but there's a glitch in Crowdfundr not allowing me to). If you didn't get one by tomorrow (March 6th), email me at CataclysmicKnight@gmail.com. I'll announce the winning prompt on the 9th in a new update.

Next Steps

My goal is to get the first three of those things done this week:

1. Send stretch goal rewards and zine bundles:
   1. Each Tier 2 or Tier 3 backer will get an email with the stretch goal rewards: The Spectacular Spectacles, each of our bookmark games, and the four solo journaling games (I Went to Wonderland Once, The Back and Forth, The Shopkeeper's Saga, and The (Inner) Critic).
   2. Also, anyone who got any of our zine bundles will get keys for those zines. :D
   3. Everyone will also be offered the option of a Google Drive folder where these items can be downloaded more easily. However, claiming the keys themselves means you'll be able to download any future updates to the zines, which is especially important for games.
2. Ask "More Keys, Please" purchasers whether they want extra keys or to add to the community copies.
3. Ask "Challenge Mode" purchasers what challenges they'd like to give us.

If we can get those things done, then the rest of the campaign is basically lots of voting and making stuff! 

For the Zineuary zines, we'll be sending all of those keys together once we've completed them all. These will NOT start being available for purchase on Itch until you receive your rewards, you'll get them first.

Also, multiple things need prompts for voting. Click any (or all!) of the following to suggest prompts for them:

1. Challenges for our EXTRA MODE/Challenge zines
2. Full game challenges (we'll also pull from the challenge zine prompts that didn't win for zines and that apply to games)

OVERDRIVE MODE Reward!

Angel came up with a great idea for the OVERDRIVE MODE reward: we're going to make a list of SRDs (System Reference Documents, basically files that allow others to use a game system as their own) and zine formats and then pick one at random. Or one of each? We're still working out the details, but we have some time before we get there.

And then we're going to give this to ALL of our contributors. Yep, even the one who bought our joke "Got extra money? Give it to us!" reward that says you don't get anything 🤣 It took every single one of you to get us to that goal, so you all deserve it.

LOL we have advertised a LOT of stuff at you over the last month. You deserve a break. You all helped us feel more secure in our lives, we couldn't possibly ask for more! Speaking of which...

📰 News: 177 Amazing People Help Make Two Gal's Year

THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!!!! We did it! I would've been this hyped if we made a few hundred, but covering our entire tax cost and then some?!?! I checked the bank the other day and it still blew my mind we'll be able to pay our taxes AND still have savings. Lemme go knock on some wood after saying that though 🤣 

We plan to go through and see how much money was given as tips, and then write a fun post on our Patreon about what we used that money for. We'll share that post here too.

🔎 Now Crowdfunding: Hurt Party: A Game of Bad Apologies by Ami Baio/Pink Tiger Games

I've been a fan of Ami Baio's games for a while now. She makes some really unique games that highlight the way we communicate with one another and help us learn more about each other. She even made a game of compliments called Flatter Me!

This time around, it's a "party game that pokes fun at all the unfortunate ways we say we’re sorry." I think accepting responsibility for mistakes and showing it is such a vital part of relationships, whether it's coworkers or life partners. And omg these apologies hurt to look at they're so real 🤣
