Join us as we discuss how to brand yourself with Crowdfundr’s unique customizability and diverse campaign options.

It isn’t easy to stand out in this digital age of boundless creativity. No matter the creator, establishing a solid brand is vital to flourishing in a crowded online landscape. Crowdfundr fosters this development in many different ways:

  • Creators can customize their profiles and campaigns with their logos, colours, fonts, media, and messaging;
  • You may run multiple campaigns of different types (or the same type) at once. The infographic below shows how ongoing keep-it-all campaigns (with no goal or deadline) can be used like an online store. Highlight available rewards produced on-demand (such as digital rewards, custom orders, or items already in stock) along with your story to intrigue and delight new followers.
  • Supporters can subscribe (for free!) to campaign updates, which allows creators to inform keen supporters of new rewards, campaigns, events, or a new message saying thank you;
  • All-or-nothing campaigns benefit special projects that must reach the entire goal before they can be fulfilled. They leave no risk to the creator or their supporters.

To help explain, we’ve enlisted one of our mascots, Ari, to guide you through how to brand yourself as a creator with Crowdfundr!

Picture of Ari that says "Ari is an artist with a modest following on her social media for her web comic. Ari wants to grow her online creator brand and collect funds to build her portfolio. She wants her supporters to choose what they pay for and not be pulled into a paid-subscription model."
1. She creates an organization profile on Crowdfundr, customized with her chosen creator branding logo, fonts, colours, examples of her work and a short bio.
2. Then she creates her first campaign with these features: - Keep-it-all type - No deadline - No goal - Highlight subscribe feature - 2-3 rewards For her perks, Ari chooses: 1. Exclusive digital comic strip; 2. Pack of 3 stickers
3. Next, Ari shares the campaign to her social media profiles, asking her followers to check out the campaign and subscribe (for FREE!) to updates. Ari tells her followers they will receive an email when she updates the campaign with new, exclusive perks. Ari quote: "And bonus if they claim stickers or a digital print, too!"
4. Ari's followers are excited! They click the link and subscribe to her campaign with their email addresses.
5. Ari completes a new comic. She then creates a new reward for it, and updates the campaign to announce the new digital comic. Ari's subscribers get an email telling them about Ari's update and the new reward. Then, they follow the link to claim the new perk!
Ari continues to run this keep-it-all campaign, sharing it every few days and bringing on new subscribers. She builds her following and makes enough to start on her first full length comic!
7. Now, Ari wonders if she'll have the interest in a printed comic to print 250 copies. She'll need a minimum of $3000. She creates and launches an All-or-nothing campaign at no risk to herself or her subscribers.
8. Ari's campaign collects all the funds she needs and she prints her first comic!
Ari continues to run her primary keep-it-all campaign, using it to share updates for newly available rewards, events she's attending, more all-or-nothing campaigns for new projects, and other exciting news with her supporters. She regularly shares it on her social media accounts so new followers will subscribe. Using funds from this campaign she creates paid advertisements on social media for an extra boost of visibility.
