Daily Acts’ Take Heart, Take Action Crowdfunding Campaign!

Thank you so much for checking out Daily Acts’ Take Heart, Take Action book release crowdfunding campaign which with your help will propel Daily Acts’ work and get our inspiring message, models and approach in more hearts and hands to unleash the power of community.    

Help us raise $100,000 to support our work empowering activists, organizations and communities through:

• Distributing 1,000 copies of Take Heart, Take Action
• To make an even bigger impact we will be distributing books to a range of audiences including students, grassroots activists, community-based groups, national networks and leaders in government, the philanthropic sector and media as well as sharing books with people who attend select programs.

• Training more leaders through our Leadership Institute Scholarship 
• The Leadership Institute for Just and Resilient Communities Fellowship Training is a ten month long program designed to support engaged and emerging leaders and help them to advance transformative social and environmental solutions. Campaign funds will enable us to bring even more economic diversity to the program. And it will help us address issues around the financial inequities that can be a barrier to those who would like to participate but can’t because of financial constraints.

• Creating new leadership training programs for leaders across the country and developing new community action resources
• Daily Acts is experiencing a rapidly growing demand from leaders, groups and communities for us to share our tools, resources and trainings. We are in the process of developing trainings based on the book and our Leadership Institute Curriculum. We will be bringing these trainings to activists, grassroots groups and agencies who are interested in applying our approach and models. Just imagine the impact!

Trathen Heckman is an award-winning nonprofit leader with over twenty years of experience cultivating grassroots groups and community networks. He is the founder and Director of Daily Acts Organization, which specializes in unleashing the power of community to address the climate crisis. Trathen lives in the Petaluma River Watershed where he grows food, medicine, and wonder, while working to compost apathy and lack.
