let’s spread love throughout our city. let’s put a big heart on a billboard up in the sky, cover walls with posters, poles and mailboxes with stickers of happy hearts. i’m hopeful that this kind gesture can create a ripple effect of happiness and kindness, bringing people together and making them feel more connected to each other and our community.

every saturday night growing up i used to listen and dance to chris sheppard’s radio mixes and he always referenced toronto as ‘the city of love’ that stuck to me. toronto is the city of love! but in the past little while sometimes it doesn't feel that way.... but i believe with a little bit of help from all the lovers we can make this city really feel like the city of love.

that's why i’ve started this fundraising campaign to build a city wide art installation that will act as a beacon of love for all who encounter it. by creating a really BIG love in the sky my hope is that it speaks to the core of what it means to be human, and that will no matter how difficult life gets or how different we feel there is always love to be found.

as one person i’m only capable of spreading little love around the city but with a collective support we can make a greater impact and connect more people together. 

i've started sticking up heart stickers in various parts of the city. leaving tokens of happiness and love for everyone to delight in.

if you’re a lover not a hater join me in this campaign of spreading love, joy and kindness. it is a simple and easy way inspire people to be more positive and compassionate. any amount of contribution is appreciated but certain amounts come with various special rewards.

the goal of this public art installation is to send out the message of love and to let everyone know that in the end love wins. we also hope to simply make someone’s day brighter. if we reach our goal we would be able to rent a massive billboard at Yonge & Dundas square for one month or along a major highway, put up posters across the city and make tons of little heart stickers for people to join in the fun and place them wherever they like. if we exceed our goal by a lot we could rent a billboard on the Gardiner for commuters and visitors into the city to be welcomed with love.

about the artist

catchoo is Canadian born Chinese Indonesian raised in a small Ontario town as an energetic happy tomboy with a big heart and curious mind. She finds comfort and joy in the little things in life and strives to balance her passion for art and creativity with the responsibilities of raising a family.

risks and challenges

we're all in this together! if love wins we all get to triumph in her glory as she graces the skyline of toronto. the goal is to have this art installation up during the summer of '23 and the rewards fulfilled by the end of the summer but of course there are sometimes unavoidable personal/family mishaps, acts of God, global disruption, or unforeseen delays that could throw the campaign off schedule. if for some reason something disrupts the schedule and backers from receiving their rewards i will keep you updated. thank you for your support and understanding.
