THE ION GUARD is a new anthology comic based on the Ion Guard, a tabletop-roleplaying game superhero group created by Colin Chapman and published by Gallant Knight Games!
With an updated and new edition of The Ion Guard coming, GKG and artist Nicolas Giacondino have taken the chance to tell some small stories in the universe via comics!
Our plan for each issue of The Ion Guard is as follows:
- A few stories, featuring a mix of black and white and color images, as an homage to the old newspaper comics.
- At times, irregular bonuses like gameable material and a letters column (though this issue has strictly comics)
Vol. 1 comes in at around 34 pages and features two stories! The comic is in a landscape format.
Fulfillment
Shipping will be collected after the campaign, as Gallant Knight Games will be using their webstore for fulfillment. You will receive an email that will allow you to check out with the appropriate pledge level. You will be responsible for shipping at that time.
Backers are responsible for any customs, fees, or other charges associated with their shipping.
Digital
The digital PDF of the comic will be delivered via DriveThruComics to an email you will specify. You will need to create a DriveThruComics account, but if you already have a DriveThru[Various] account, you can simply provide that one! When it is done, we'll also add deliver via the GKG webstore, so everyone can download the comic from until the end of the year. Once you back, you get the link to get your comic immediately. No waiting for digital rewards!
This method of delivery will allow us to add the GallantVerse comics to your digital library right alongside your Tiny Supers material, keeping you up to date if we make any changes, and providing an ongoing library for you! After the digital comic is delivered, it will be made available on various platforms for consumption and sale!
Print copies will be printed in the US and dispatched to US addresses and backers as soon as they arrive. They will be shipped in bags and boards, and specific comic mailers to protect them! We anticipate a pretty quick turnaround here. Extra prints will be sold in the GKG webstore.
