Somewhere in the dark, a man is in a trunk. Wrong man, wrong trunk — and the clock is ticking. Not Sam is a dialogue-driven 3D animated short film premiering June 2026, made by just two guys - Pixix Productions, from Seoul. And we need your help to finish it.

We've already finished the hardest parts of making the film: 2 months of screen writing, basic sound design, and character design. It will take about two more months to complete production, plus one month of post-production before release.

Pixix Productions is a two-man indie entertainment company based in Seoul, South Korea, producing music and video art, and this short film is going to be its first set of work to show the world. Come. See what we see.

[You're Not Just Investing in a Film]
It might be a 3-minute indie short film made for fun to someone, but we are picturing much bigger. This film "Not Sam" has some of the newest and most complex CG techniques inside and lays the foundation for Pixix's creative direction. So, you'll become the first one to witness and be a part of the beginning of something bigger.

We're not asking you to invest for financial returns. You'll have better than that.
Depending on type of contribution, you can even be listed in IMDb database along with credit section of the movie, and even the basic level of contributor will get a digital card working as a unique poster of the movie.
So, we'll create. You take the glory.

[How Much Do We Need?]
Seven professional-grade programs. One minimum wage. You do the math.

We've kept costs lean by building everything in-house using 7 programs: Unreal Engine, Blender, Pro Tools, FL Studio, Davinci Resolve, Cascadeur, CLO3D, and Photoshop.

Also, we've self-funded roughly $500 in virtual assets: The car, building structure, voice acting, textures, fabrics and basic designs for garments, including subscription fees to several professional tools.

As mentioned, we've already done the hardest parts, and all we need is $4,296 - roughly one person's minimum wage in South Korea for three months. These two guys at Pixix Productions are working day and night to make it through without being paid at all.

To do the production and post-production, we still need to finish Directing, Virtual Camera Work, Texturing, Lighting, Hand-crafted Animating, Hair & Garment Simulating, Sound FX, Audio Mixing & Mastering, Color Grading, Editing, and Video Mastering.

목표 금액은 한국의 최저 임금 1인 기준 3개월치로 계산하여 $4,296로 책정하였습니다.

Unreal Engine, Blender, Pro Tools, FL Studio, DaVinci Resolve, Cascadeur, CLO3D, Photoshop 이라는 프로그램을 동시다발적으로 활용해 사실상 최소 7명이 고용되어야 하는 스케일의 제작비용을 최소화하여 제작할 수 있는 회사는 현재 Pixix가 유일하다고 자부할 수 있습니다.

또한 자동차, 건물 구조물, 성우 녹음, 텍스처, 패브릭, 의상 기본 디자인 등 가상 에셋에 이미 약 $500를 자체 투자했으며, 여러 전문 툴의 구독료도 포함되어 있습니다.

앞서 말했듯, 가장 어려운 부분은 이미 끝났습니다. 현재 저희 팀은 단 한 푼의 보수도 없이 밤낮으로 이 작업을 이어가고 있습니다.

연출, 버추얼 카메라 작업, 텍스처링, 라이팅, 수작업 애니메이팅, 헤어 & 의상 시뮬레이션, 음향 효과, 오디오 믹싱 & 마스터링, 색보정, 편집, 영상 마스터링 등의 작업이 프로덕션과 후반 작업을 완료하기 위해 아직 남아있습니다.
