Whistling
Wolf Café is a café sim game that takes 10-30 minutes to play. You
are a master brewer who is more focused on what a customer might
need rather than what they want, and that can complicate things. All
you need is a deck of playing cards, a handful of six-sided dice,
and something to take notes with.
| For now, only the original solo version of the game is published (found if you click the image to the right.). We are currently smoothing out the details for the multiplayer version, including optional Event Cards and a possible print-n-play mat to better keep track of currency and rounds. The custom cards will join the original game once the entire set is completed, including the Customer Cards.
So far, the Shop Cards and the Card Backs are all done. I want to playtest the Event Cards more before getting artwork for them, but I'm pretty sure that's nearly set. All that's really left right now are the Customer Cards. |
I initially had the idea to sell the art spots for the Customer Cards in our Crowdfunder earlier this year. Though we didn't sell a ton of them since they were kept as a Stretch Goal (every penny spent on them goes directly to the artist), the results have absolutely blown me away so far. Just look at how great those turned out!
So we decided to open up this shop to fill out the rest of the Customer Cards.
There are currently 24 Standard Customer Cards available, including the Stressed Black Tea Maven, the Lethargic Green Tea Enthusiast, the Tired Herbal Tea Devotee, and the Hyper White Tea Fan. They do very similar things, though each can either help a player out or throw a bit of a wrench into things with a bad review. These are $45 each.
There are only two Unique Customers left: The Food Critic, who allows players to remove a bad review instead of getting a tip. This is $50 The Parent and Toddler, with two variants for their card depending on how well the players roll. Yes, that means person who purchases this will get three cards total using the same customers. This is $60.
The slots are first-come-first-serve, so be sure to grab a spot while you can!

Hello! I am Koshojin, a digital artist and passionate

Hello folks! I'm Laura "Mama Newt" Govednik
(she/her) one half of the owner of Lucky Newt Games (LNG).
Before LNG, I took on and created commissions for other
creators. The need to make my own work that I could share with
my family grew stronger and stronger with time. It tickled the
back of my mind and wouldn't leave me alone.
Over the last 15 years, Nick—my partner in LNG and in
life—and I made some games to play between the two of us.
Once MiniNewt was born though, she inspired us to create
games we would want to play with her as she grows. We realized
we couldn't be the only people in search of such games, and
thus created Lucky Newt Games. Now we create games that we take great pride in. Our games are family-friendly and designed to promote equity. We live in the Pacific NorthWest with our rambunctious four year old we call MiniNewt. When we're not geeking out on games, anime, books, or blocks, we're hiking in the local (and not-so-local) state parks. 🦎 |  |
