What is Ghost Show!? WHAT IS GHOST SHOW! ?

Ghost Show! is a half-hour comedic docuseries filmed in the style of shows like:
- The Office
- Parks & Rec
- Reno 911!
- Ghost Adventures
GHOST SHOW! IS THE STORY OF AN INTREPID GHOST HUNTING TEAM WHO WILL DO ANYTHING TO KEEP THEIR SERIES ON-AIR. ANYTHING. LITERALLY ANYTHING. WELL, ALMOST ANYTHING, WHY, WHAT DID YOU HAVE IN MIND??
We are raising money to fund our newest project, Ghost Show! Way to bury the lede, amiright?
Anyhoo — Ghost Show! began as a part of NBC's 2014 Comedy Playground. Basically, we pitched Ghost Show! to NBC as a part of their pilot development program — and we did pretty well! We made it through the first round of feedback only to be cut in the second role. But no matter! We (Anna and Mike, your show runner/writer/producer/director/actor/dreamweaver/dream TEAM combo) have decided to produce the show ourselves!
How do we plan to do this?!:
That's where YOU come in! Yes — YOU! 🫵 While we have enough funding to get started, what with us pouring it into marketing, fundraising, and the pilot itself, we still need moola to FILM and COMPLETE the pilot episode + film and head to post-production for the rest of the series. Additionally, we plan to shop this series to major streamers, so it won't just live on YouTube forever! (Hopefully.)
Why are you doing this now?
Well, dear reader, Mike and Anna are tired of waiting for things to happen for them. That's not their MO! And while there's a ton of bad stuff in the world, there's also, on the upside(?), really amazing art, too. And if this world is all we got, we may as well have fun and make a hybrid ghost hunting and comedy TV series, huh??
Also, Mike survived epilepsy and cancer and shingles and cat scratch fever, and he'd really like to make something in this lifetime!

To raise enough money to film our pilot episode in 2027, with the hope of producing our first two episodes and eventually a full five-to-six-episode season! We're an indie, non-union production with big dreams. And we don't intend to run our sets like they're NOT SAG — we never have, we never will! Any and all funds will be put right back into:
- Cast & crew pay
- Locations
- Costumes
- Sound
- Editing
- Cinematography
- Electricians
- Insurance/Safety
- Any other above the line or below the line crew member
Mike and Anna are less interested in paying themselves and more interested in developing local TV, film, and theatrical opportunities for the PHENOMENAL talent that Portland has to offer!
Every contribution, big or small, gets us one step closer to making Ghost Show! a reality.
