WHO ARE WE:
BAD VIBES is the latest feature film from Planet Thunder Productions, which is made up of collaborators Jacob Leighton Burns, Vinnie Hogan, and Zachary Burns. Our award-winning work has been featured on EntertainmentWeekly.com and SYFYWire.com and our films Hell Hath No Fury, Electric Nostalgia and Shifter are currently available on VOD and DVD/BluRay. Our latest film, Hell Hath No Fury won Best Actress for Leah N.H. Philpott at New York CineFest. Both Electric Nostalgia and Shifter won Best Oklahoma Film at deadCenter Film Festival and Shifter was nominated for three awards by FilmThreat.com, including Best Director and Indie Movie of the Year.
BAD VIBES will star the incredibly talented LEAH N.H. PHILPOTT who is a Canadian actress born in St. John's, Newfoundland to Newfoundland Hockey Hall of Famer Ed Philpott and Canada Post worker Gloria Philpott. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre at York University in Toronto, ON, she made her television debut on CBC and IFC's Kids In the Hall: Death Comes to Town in 2010 and has worked in film and television ever since. She currently resides in Oklahoma City, OK, and recently starred in Hell Hath No Fury for Planet Thunder and Adventures of Rufus: The Fantastic Pet for Lionsgate.

WHAT WE NEED:
WE CAN’T DO THIS ALONE! The film won't get made without the aid of a talented cast and crew. Most of what we raise will pay for their wages and keep them fed! Their talent is incredibly valuable, and we want to make sure that they are taken care of and that the shoot is worth their time, energy, and talent.

In order to ensure we make the best possible film, we need the
funding to cover our basic financial needs to bring this film to life.
Funding will go towards Cast, Crew, Gear, Locations, Meals, Wardrobe,
Props, Make-up, Special Effects, and so much more. This campaign does
not cover the total funds we plan to raise, but helps kick the film
into gear and allows us to start the initial prep required to create
such an ambitious and rockin' film!

We believe in BAD VIBES and we know it will resonate with audiences everywhere. Once the film is shot and edited, we'll hit the festival circuit, traveling the country (and hopefully, the world), and showcasing the amazing talent we have in our community. Our previous films have all had great success in festivals from Soho to New York City to Chattanooga to Newfoundland to Austin to San Jose to Hollywood, and we have every reason to believe BAD VIBES is primed to reach even higher heights. Following the film festival run, we'll seek distribution where we will aim for a theatrical run and an eventual streaming/VOD release, getting the film in front of the masses.

"Things are rough for everybody now. It seems like every single day we get bad news on top of bad news. The vibes, as they say, are OFF. I wanted to bring some good into the world. Something funny, thrilling, scary and most importantly... ROCK N' ROLL.

As a former bass player in a punk rock band (shout out Rock n' Roll for Dummies!), I've grown up in punk rock culture and have always found it to be such an open-minded and welcoming community (with great music, of course). When things get rough, I'm quick to grab the headphones and throw on the growling guitars of punk rock (like The Ramones, Against Me!, The OBGMs, Joan Jett, The Misfits, and MXPX, to name a few), and let the furious roar of energy wash over me. I'll put my fist in the air, I'll bang my head, and I'll scream "HEY HO! LET'S GO!" and, while it may not solve everything, for a short time... the vibes are immaculate.
That's what I want for BAD VIBES, that feeling of release. That feeling of rock n' roll. And if you ask me, we could all use a little more rock n' roll in our life."
