Bring Septima Stella Lux to Burning Man 2026
Septima Stella Lux is a 28-foot interactive art installation for Burning Man, formed by the vertical intersection of four seven-point stars and built from large engineered timbers. By day, it will be a dramatic sacred geometric structure for gathering, climbing, and exploration. By night, programmable LEDs will transform it into a luminous celestial beacon on the playa.
This piece is designed to be experienced from within. A raised platform will create space for congregation, perspective, and connection, while the structure itself invites movement, interaction, and awe. The project is also being envisioned as a setting for monitored aerial performance and spontaneous nighttime activation.
Septima Stella Lux is inspired by constellations, sacred geometry, and the symbolism of the number seven. It reflects the idea that human beings create meaning through connection, and that the lines formed between us can become a kind of living constellation.
We are already in the design and prototype phase and are self-funding as much as we can, but we need community support to fully realize the piece.

Why this number?
Because Septima Stella Luxis a meditation on the number seven, we chose a fundraising goal that carries that pattern within it. $24,549 is based on 49, or 7 × 7. That doubled seven reflects the intersecting structure of the piece and the repeated symbolic presence of seven throughout mythology, spirituality, music, cosmology, and human meaning-making.
