A Stolen Legacy: The Karin T. Meyer Story chronicles the harrowing journey of Karin T. Meyers, a 97-year-old matriarch whose freedom has been taken from her by unscrupulous people within the San Joaquin County Court System and her own Bank. We uncovered a systemic pattern of corruption that led to the Bank’s take over of Ms. Meyer’s home, business and personal property. For the last two years Ms. Meyer has been living under a Conservatorship with no phone, no computer, no visitors, no contact with the outside world. Her only crime was being elderly and had property that people within the County wanted. 

     We also follow the fight by those closest to her against the Conservatorship. Our investigation uncovers the truth about the underbelly of a Corrupt Court System that has falsely accused the one person who protected Ms. Meyer. After two years of being falsely accused by the Bank of crimes and elder abuse allegations. We document his struggles and pressure to continue the fight along with testimony from those closest to her. The surprise twists and turns will definitely be in the Final Cut along with the names of the corrupt officials who have stolen the last two years of Ms.Meyer’s life.

This Documentary is currently in production and shooting in Northern California. We began this project focusing on the events that led to Ms.Meyer being admitted into a Conservatorship by The County. Through our interview process and investigation we found there to be many red flags that were risen by those closest to her. The nightmare began for Ms. Meyer began when she suffered a fall while in her office and broke her hip in August of 2022. This triggered the San Joaquin County Conservators office to investigate her friend’s and employees. The details and timeline have become highly suspect due to conflicting reports by the Court Investigators and the Sheriff’s Robbery Homicide Division. As our investigation continued we uncovered crimes including embezzlement by former employees that were corroborated by current and former tenants. We have obtained Police reports, affidavits, and declarations that implicate many crimes by former employees. Through all of this Ms.Meyer was able to run her business and create her American Dream. What took Ms. Meyer 60 years to create has been taken from her by those within a corrupt county bureaucracy within 2 years. The evidence shows the corruption at the highest level of the Courts. What we have uncovered will be shocking to everyone involved. This is just the tip of the iceberg. What started as a 90 minute documentary has now become a four part Documentary. The information is coming in on a daily basis and our hope is to finish and distribute in a few months. We hope that our audience can help create change for those who are most vulnerable. This is only one County, in one State, multiply by 50 and you can see the immense undertaking we have begun.
