The Anarchist Review Of Books is a new biannual publication dedicated to literature and the arts from a radical perspective. Created by an editorial collective of experienced activists and practicing artists, we are fighting back against both the corporate-dominated publishing landscape of the 2020s and doctrinaire criticism that stifles real creative power.
Our fundraising goal is simple: to pay our writers and artists.
While the editorial collective is all-volunteer, we feel strongly
that creative work is labor. As long as we're under capitalism, it
deserves compensation. Our printing and distribution costs are
already fully funded, so our $5,000 goal will pay for two issues of
reviews, reporting, essays, fiction, and poetry, as well as original
artwork throughout and distribution of content to a wider audience
through our website. If we exceed the goal, more creators get paid
and creators get paid more.
