The Anarchist Review of Books hasn't added a story.
The Anarchist Review of Books is an entirely DIY, print-only publication with no corporate backers and no grant funding. We are supported entirely by sales, donations, and limited advertising from independent bookstores.

- Providing free copies to prisoners and community groups
Your support enables us to continue providing a platform for fearless critique and for showcasing outstanding literature, essays, and art. By backing the ARB, you are not only contributing to sustaining an independent publication but also helping to preserve intellectual diversity and promote a more inclusive and equitable society.
At a time when newspapers and magazines are folding and AI takes root in legacy media, the importance of independent publications has become even more critical. Through ARB, we strive to amplify marginalized voices and challenge the status quo.
While the editorial collective is unpaid, we pay each of our writers and artists a stipend. We use union labor and ship worldwide. We donate copies to prisoners and community groups. We are committed to ink on paper and to keeping subscription prices affordable (only $12 a year US). Because of our convictions we have added costs that other publications don’t.
In the words of Buenaventura Durruti, " We are not afraid of ruins. We carry a new world here, in our hearts, and that world is growing." Durruti's powerful quote encapsulates the essence of our mission. It reminds us that working people possess the resilience and creativity to rebuild and create a new society.
Together, we can build a world where radical ideas and transformative perspectives flourish. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference. We invite you to join us; to read, to dream, to take action, to be part of this movement for change.
Please note that donations are not tax-deductible.
