Contents can vary, but typically they include:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul><\/p>\n<li>press release\/one-pager<\/li>\n\n\n<li>boilerplate (company\/creator background information)<\/li>\n\n\n<li>project photos and video<\/li>\n\n\n<li>logos in various formats, colour codes, and other info important for brand consistency<\/li>\n\n\n<li>contact information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>With this kit ready, you provide journalists, podcast hosts, bloggers, or anyone else telling your story with key points and concepts about your project. You ensure consistent messaging and brand identity and set media up for success in helping your campaign goals.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 25px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Where does it live?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>You have options! For crowdfunding creative projects, you should include:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul><\/p>\n<li>Clear, concise headline identifying the creator\/company, the project title, and some sort of descriptor.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul><\/p>\n<li><em>Example: Random Company Inc. announces launch of Crowdfundr campaign for their new graphic novel, &#8220;Space Kangaroos<\/em>.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/li>\n\n\n<li>Optional tagline with more information\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul><\/p>\n<li><em>Example: It&#8217;s a dangerous job protecting Earth from alien wombats &#8211; hop too high, and there&#8217;s no coming down.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/li>\n\n\n<li>Begin with the place and date:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul><\/p>\n<li><em>Vancouver, April 18 &#8211; From the people who brought you &#8220;Jurassic Squirrels&#8221; comes a new adventure hopping into space.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/li>\n\n\n<li>Key message or story. Depending on your project, this could include a short synopsis, target audience, problems solved, unique features, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>A direct quote from the creator about why you created it and anything else important for people to know.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Timeline for the campaign (when are you launching, and when is the deadline to contribute\/pledge).<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Campaign link<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Write the press release in the <strong>third person<\/strong> and keep it short &#8211; between <strong>300 and 600 words<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>At the end, include a clear <strong>call to action. <\/strong>If your campaign is live, your call to action is to click the link and claim a reward (or make a general pledge\/contribution). If your campaign is <strong>not<\/strong> yet live, the call to action is to still click the link and <a href=\"https:\/\/connectionpoint.com\/help\/docs\/what-does-subscribing-to-a-campaign-mean-how-can-i-do-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">subscribe to the campaign<\/a>.
