What are you planning on making for Questember?

Are you looking for anyone to help with your project? Art, editor, layout artist?

Probably some OSR adventure content. I have a small anthology/mini-setting I’m planning on doing for Zinequest, but I always have some “out-and-down” content bubbling away on a burner somewhere.

I figure that’s as good a way as any to test the waters here! =)

I admit I don’t have a solid plan, but I’ve always wanted to crowdfund some sort of 5e OGL product so this seems like a great place to try and dive into that. πŸ™‚

Okay I think I have a bit more of an idea. I have been wanting to do a TTRPG interview stream show where myself and the person I’m interviewing are crafting at the same time. It’s a fun way for me to combine two of my favorite hobbies and also provide some fun information about people in the TTRPG community. Crowdfundr would be great for this because there are a few technical things I’m missing in order to make this happen, plus it would help me pay for guests as well as pay someone to help create marketing graphics for it!

My big plan is for a project called Legends and Locomotives, a D&D 5e mod set in a post-apocalyptic earth populated by sentient trains.

Planning on making “Luncheons & Dragonflies,” a tabletop roleplaying games for kids and animal-lovers. Tiny woodland denizens take up sewing needle, thimble, and acorn top to defend against cats, racoons, owls, and more. Be a bat, bird, squirrel, mouse, and more.

Players work to build the biggest pile of dice by borrowing, stealing, trading and earning each die. More dice means a better chance of defeating evil, overcoming challenges, and surviving the woodlands.

This sounds super cute and I’m dying to play it Adam! Have you gotten to the playtesting phase?

We’ll be looking to fund a short 5e-compatible adventure to release alongside the opening of Portland OR’s first (the world’s first?) TTRPG brewpub, where we’ll be pairing original beers with original roleplaying content run by full-time GMs. TBD what skillsets we’re currently missing for the Questember launch, but looking forward to being part of it!

A TTRPG Brewpub sounds fantastic. Maybe I’m just that hungry right now, but I could go for a delicious sandwich, fries, and a game session all at once.

Hello! My name’s Micah and I just got invited to join Questember, and I’m glad to be here. I recently got sponsored by the Gallant Goblin to create some character portfolios similar to the Big Bads by Hit Point Press. We’re creating gay NPCs of various races, classes, etc. The basic idea will be similar. We’ll include art, a background, plot hooks, roleplaying notes, and stats. But instead of horror-themed content, we’re making gay fanservice (manservice?) characters! So we’ve got plans for portfolios featuring men with tastefully sexy art and themes, and the characters will be designed for both D&D5e and Pathfinder 2e. Ideally, I would focus on Pathfinder, but the market is really in 5e content.

You can see an example of one character here on my Twitter.

Originally, we were going to just do these as digital releases, but we decided to use Questember to see how viable print options would be. At present, we have one character mostly done, and we expect to have about 3 character options total by launch time.

I think if we need help with anything, it’s coming up with stretch goals and add-ons that work well with this kind of printed book/zine product. If anyone has seen bonus content that has worked well in similar crowdfunded campaigns, please let me know!

I look forward to meeting you all and seeing what other products everyone comes up with!

What’s up, everyone! I’m Leon, and I’ve totally been neglecting actually participating in discussion because I’ve been so busy with working towards September x-x

A friend and I are working on a solo journaling game where you roll pools of dice and make constellations out of them. We’re in our second playtesting phase right now, because we want to include a free preview with our campaign.

I’ve crowdfunded theatrical productions and retail openings before, but I’ve never crowdfunded a book (or ever gone through the physical publishing process). I’m super excited to learn about what that entails, but would also LOVE to find a layout designer for the team (if you have recs, or even yourself, please drop me a line!)

Anyway, happy August everybody, and I’m so excited for all the amazing projects next month!!

    Hello everyone!

I feel so bad for the lack of participation lately, things have just been so busy! But I do hope to participate on the Questember event, I think this is super cool!

My project is more on the decorative side of things, rather than actual game play, but will be geared towards those who like the D&D dragons. Of course, I’d love to expand into other TTRPGs and the like… but starting small for now. I make semi-3D statues, they’re illustrated digitally by me and printed on PVC, then cut to shape. I assemble them all by hand and send them off to their new homes! πŸ™‚ I’ve got the campaign laid out and plan to launch around mid-September (very busy season for me right now)

Currently running everything myself as I don’t really know WHERE I would need people, but always open to working with others!

      Hi Straya!

Love your idea! Just wanted to let you know that Questember was moved to November. Hope that matches your timeline!
